DOMADORA to release new album “Lacuna” on June 29th

“Lacuna” commonly refers to the “empty space” or “void” from which everything takes shape. The void is at the beginning of everything: matter and time, light, sound and art. It is the starting point of the artwork. It just takes the scratching a match of creativity inside the void to generate an idea, a note, a melody… and feelings as well as emotions are born. So how is an idea born? Where does it come from? A Big Bang. Music is a way to reach mind elevation. DOMADORA’s music intends to put the willing listener into a state of trance and reach a state of elevation.

Nashville Publishing Collective ‘Chicks With Hits’ Celebrates Its 20 Year Anniversary

May 1st saw Nashville’s Chicks With Hits celebrating a monumental achievement, its 20th anniversary. Held at BMI on Music Row in Nashville, this all-female publishing collective celebrated alongside colleagues, friends and family that had all gathered to commemorate and reflect upon the accomplishments of this trailblazing group.

“For me, Youth Club is a pure and honest representation of us as people and players,” Smith says of the album’s significance. “It’s another step further for Sharp/Shock and pushes the boundaries slightly, without straying from what we do. There are a couple more aggressive songs like ‘Bad Lad’ and ‘Steps,’ but I love that it’s balanced out by songs like ‘Dancing All Night’ and ‘Walking A Thin Line.’ Lyrically, songs like ‘Just Can’t Get My Head Around It’ and ‘Nuclear Family’ are my favorites—just real life issues that will hopefully get people thinking.”
