Danya Vodovoz shares his newest soulful single “F to K”

Danya Vodovoz’s latest single, “F to K”, features the suave vocal melodies from Miami-born, German-based singer Dennis LeGree. “F to K” is a slight detour from Danya’s usual electronic sonic landscape: this warmer, modern-bluesy offering showcases his own diverse taste.

Just last week, he preceded the project’s arrival with the critically exalted single “Black Woman” [feat. Stacy Barthe]. Right out of the gate, the uplifting and empowering anthem garnered tastemaker praise for its honest, hypnotic, and heartfelt tribute to African American women everywhere. The music video brings it to life vividly as a bevy of inspirational women flank Grant. Vibe, HotNewHipHop, HipHopDX, and more immediately touted and embraced “Black Woman.” Meanwhile, Respect wrote, “Expect this LP to create a nice buzz heading into the summer season.”

Brazil’s Sculpture release “To Another Place” via Hammer of Damnation

Hailing from Brazil, post-black metallers Sculpture have released their debut full-length “To Another Place” earlier this month. This instrumental project is headed by two experienced musicians from Sao Paulo’s extreme metal scene who have decided to develop an instrumental sound featuring good melodies and without giving up on the weight and aggressiveness. The result from these experiences is “To Another Place”, which immediately aroused interest from Hammer Of Damnation for its originality and the will to develop an unprecedented ambience on the national scene.

Sculpture is the Brazilian answer to Alcest, Woods of Desolation, Harakiri for the Sky or Drudkh, while keeping a peculiar style that varies between Ambient / Post / Black Metal with progressive elements and heavy metal, totaling about 40 minutes of Intrumental Ambient (post) Black Metal.

Introducing: GRANT & “Catcher In The Rye”

Every so often a voice comes along that leaves you utterly entranced and completely hypnotized. Today, that captivating voice belongs to rising Stockholm-based singer/songwriter GRANT, whose new single “Catcher In The Rye” is out worldwide today.

Less than a month out from her debut London live show, supporting Tove Styrke at The Borderline on June 13,”Catcher In The Rye” comes along and hooks you instantaneously with its buoyant bassline and infectious melody. The song is taken from her forthcoming debut album “In Bloom,” which is set for worldwide release on June 1.

Oldermost announce new album (out 7/13)

The album also highlights the paradoxical blend of neuroticism and mysticism of lead-singer Bradford Bucknum, whose vocal delivery oscillates between semi-theatrical energetic bursts to gentle, sugary crooning. At times, despairing wit and questionable advice buoyantly tumble over a sea of lush strings; at other times, the songs dig their heels in the genre and the classic-rock enthusiasm of Mike Sobel’s guitar, the steady but experimental rhythms of Stephen Robbins’ focused and passionate drumming and Dan Wolgemuth’s unique and melodic bass playing. The music is both familiar, yet fresh – it hints at nostalgia without stumbling into kitsch. At some moments the music sounds urbane, almost high-brow and literary, and at others times, its wild and unrefined; a late night argument over cheap domestics.
