Director Thom Kerr explains the video’s glam and glittering visuals saying, “I wanted to [simulate] a surreal live stage show dripping with color and movement. A nod to the simplicity we saw in ’80s rock videos that really showcases TOMI’s attitude, style and energy.” TOMI adds, “I’ve been playing guitar my entire life and have always dreamed of capturing that live energy in a music video. I grew up inspired by Hole, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and all of the badass front women. I wanted this video to be just me, my guitar and a lightbulb microphone.”

AMY SHARK UNVEILS MUSIC VIDEO FOR “I SAID HI”

Today, Australian singer-songwriter Amy Shark unveils the music video for “I Said Hi,” which was directed by Nick Waterman and co-directed by Amy Shark. The track is the first single off her upcoming debut album entitled Love Monster, which is set for release on July 13th and is available for pre-order now via Wonderlick Recording Company/Sony Music Entertainment Australia/RCA Records. Fans who pre-order the album will receive “I Said Hi” along with breakout song “Adore” as an instant-grat upon purchase.

In addition, Amy Shark is gearing up to hit the road on the second leg of her 2018 North American headlining tour, which will be supported by label mate TOMI. The tour kicks off on May 12th in Albany and will be making stops in a number of major cities across the U.S. including Detroit, Atlanta, and Dallas and will also include festival appearances at Hangout Music Festival and BottleRock Napa Valley.

The Los Angeles-based band, comprised of singer-songwriter Megan Brickwood, percussionist Caleb Conner, and cellist Mark Bassett, met each other four years after Brickwood made her way from Northern California to Los Angeles. They connected over their mutual inspirations, a mix of folk and rock influences with an infusion of Medieval storytelling.
