TOO $HORT LEAKS SEX TAPE

The Sex Tape marks the third installment of a four-part series preceding the upcoming arrival of his 20th and final studio album—The Pimp Tape—out this summer.

Living up to its name, The Sex Tape undresses 12 of $hort’s most raunchy, ratchet, and raw tracks ever. Hyphy production bubbles under the opener “Can’t Take Her” [feat. ymtk], which gets nasty off the bat with one eyebrow-raising ad-lib after another. “Pull Yo Trophies Out [feat. Philthy Rich] goes hard over a slow and sexy beat, while “Dance Like You Fuckin” proves tailormade for any after-afterparty. Meanwhile, the single “Balance” resembles something of a dark horse. Its delicate production slips under $hort’s hypnotic homage to pole dancing ingenues worldwide as he praises, “It must be a challenge, tryna keep your balance.”

Ali Barter Shares “Girlie Bits

Wry lyrics on gender expectations, and a bold, burning rallying cry of “you don’t understand what it’s like to be a man,” (uttered by an ex in a moment of amorous ignorance, apparently) heralds the arrival of debut track Girlie Bits from Melbourne’s Ali Barter. “Give us a smile baby, act like a real lady” it smirks amidst her own brand of pop whilst laced with a punky snarl that sees the former choir girl pull us in nice and close only to then scream in the ears of expectations, Girlie Bits is here to check your male gaze.
