Launder, the musical moniker of LA-based solo artist John Cudlip, has just released his debut EP Pink Cloud, a lush, guitar-driven amalgamation of dream pop, shoegaze, and lo-fi indie. The project got its start shortly after John moved to Los Angeles and was introduced to fellow musician Jackson Phillips of Day Wave. The two sensed a musical rapport and struck up a creative partnership that resulted Jackson handling production for the five song EP, which was written and recorded at his home studio in Echo Park.

Today, Justin Time Essentials Collection and Nettwerk Records release From the Wild Sky by Alaskan-born, Oregon-based Halie Loren.

Southern Lord will issue the Age Of Paranoia LP by Dutch hardcore punk kingpins VITAMIN X in less than a month, the band’s first title for the label. As the release date closes in, the newest single has been released in the form of a Revolver Magazine premiere of “Flip The Switch,” which features guest guitar work by J Mascis.

ED SHEERAN INTRODUCES OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “HAPPIER”
Ed Sheeran has today introduced the official video for “Happier” from Ed’s record-breaking, 14 million-selling third studio album ‘÷.’ The brilliant visual was directed by Emil Nava (Eminem, Rihanna), who has worked on many of Ed’s official videos since the start of his career.
Landing today through Island Records is a set of must-hear remixes based on NOTD’s ‘I Wanna Know’ ft. Bea Miller. NOTD, is made up of 17-year-old Sam and 19-year-old Tobi who were high school kids when they met on SoundCloud and started producing together, before finding out they were due to start at the same school. The duo has released official remixes for Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and Rihanna to name a few, while now shifting to focus on their original music. “I Wanna Know” featuring singer Bea Miller, is only their second original track, but was released last month to great reception with already 30,000,000 streams across all platforms; now both Syn Cole and Pusher present their edits of it.
NYC’s Acid Dad released its debut S/T LP in March via Greenway Records, to praise from The New York Times, Consequence of Sound, BrooklynVegan & more. A follow-up to 2016’s Let’s Plan A Robbery EP, it showcases the band’s diverse yet accessible sound, from the driving, punk-infused opener “Die Hard” to the jangly guitars and hazy psych-pop melodies of lead single “2Ci.”
