After a major year that saw Harry Connick, Jr.’s daytime show HARRY receive six Daytime Emmy nominations last week including the second year in a row where Harry was nominated for Best Host, as well as a Critics’ Choice nomination for best talk show, Connick is set to star in the world premiere musical production of The Sting, based on the 1973 film, for which he contributes music and lyrics. The award winning Connick hosts the daytime show Harry which received a stunning total of 11 Daytime Emmy nominations in its two-year run.

Edgewood, the new mixtape from Atlanta rapper Trouble, is out now. Released via Ear Drummer Records/Interscope Records, Edgewood features appearances by Drake, The Weeknd, Quavo, Fetty Wap, Low Down Dirty Black, Boosie Badazz, and Ear Drummer Records founder Mike WiLL Made-It.
Last week, Trouble released “Real Is Rare (Edgewood),” a Mike WiLL Made-It-produced track featured on Edgewood. Pitchfork hailed the single as “a screed on authenticity and legitimacy” that delivers one of Mike WiLL Made-It’s “trickiest beats in recent memory…As the production shimmers around Trouble on ‘Real Is Rare (Edgewood),’ he lays down his credo, and it was worth the wait.”
After spending the last weeks sharing some audio excerpts from the effort with “Kumaru” and then “Let Down”, French blackened-sludge/post-metal-hardcore five-piece Ssanahtes just officially released their debut and self-titled full-length available right now for CD & Digital through the Germany-based record label WOOAARGH (Ancst, Employed To Serve, Grim Van Dom…).
San Holo explains: “For me, music has always been my number one, it’s what keeps me going. Yet sometimes that results in having to disappoint people, having no time and headspace for anything else. Yet, I don’t think that’s gonna change anytime soon. Maybe someday I’ll learn to be in the here and now properly. We’ll see :)”
24 hours after debuting his first new music since April 2017, Shawn Mendes has shared yet another glimpse into the direction of his forthcoming third album (Island Records) with second track “Lost In Japan.” The upbeat, R&B-infused track represents a stylistic departure for Shawn, who co-produced the song with Teddy Geiger and co-wrote it with both Teddy and Scott Harris.
