ABJECTION RITUAL: Decibel Magazine Premieres “Body Of Filth”
As Malignant Records prepares for the early April unveiling of Soul Of Ruin, Body Of Filth – the new full-length by Erie, Pennsylvania-based doom/death industrial act ABJECTION RITUAL – the album’s demoralizing “Body Of Filth” has been premiered through Decibel Magazine.
Vice’s music portal Noisey is currently streaming Broken Limbs Excite No Pity, the long-anticipated second full-length from BRUCE LAMONT (Yakuza, Corrections House, Brain Tentacles et al) in its captivating entirety. Fittingly dubbed, “…nuanced and dark, touching upon peaceful moments at one end and flying into a manic rage at the other,” the stream comes in advance of the record’s official release Friday, March 23rd via War Crime Recordings.
Chelan returns with their sixth LP ‘Dear Miracle’ out May 11th
“Atmospheric and swelling, the title track soars with the powerful, angelic vocals of Jennifer Grady, accompanying her with little more than a piano and synth before blossoming into a heavy groove. The dark pop tune perfectly captures the band’s ability to craft a sense of dramatic emotion in their music, with deep sonic textures that bring to mind diverse artists ranging from Kate Bush to Sigur Ros.”

Pole dancing publicist and granny Makeda Smith
Veteran entertainment industry publicist, Makeda Smith, made international headlines last year – not for her acumen as a press agent with her agency, Jazzmyne Public Relations, but for her remarkable pole dancing skills via her dance brand FlyingOver50, a blog-turned-movement that has inspired legions of older women to reclaim what she describes as their ‘divine femininity.’ The pole dancing grandmother recently joined forces with Christina Villegas and Jeff Mercer, the owners of MercVille Productions, to celebrate National Women’s History Month by creating a pole dance video that she hopes continues to motivate her ‘over 50’ followers across social media and her blog.
Filmed as part of the “Goddesses In Motion: A Pop Up Video Shoot” series and produced by Flying Curves Dance Studio, the dancing diva performs pole acrobatics in nine inch heels, defying mainstream notions about grannies and aging!

Acclaimed Singer Fake News Single
When Chris Cron moved to Tennessee a few years ago, he was done with music. He got a job with the YMCA and put his 11 years as the front man of the Warner Bros.-signed rock band Melee behind him. Focused on his marriage and being a good dad to his young son, Cron thought the page had turned.
Then a mutual friend connected him to a music publisher, and suddenly he was writing songs again. Content to be behind the scenes, Cron lent his words–and his production skills, too–to a number of artists, including Craig Wayne Boyd, Kerrie Roberts, Finding Favour, Joel Vaughn, Joseph Habedank and more. That seemed like plenty; a way for music to not fully fade from Cron’s life. Then came The Voice. “I caved,” he says, recalling why he decided to audition for the NBC reality show. “Enough people had tried to get me to do it through the years. I thought that I didn’t want to regret not doing it.”
