Blackberry Smoke’s “Let Me Down Easy” feat. Amanda Shires

Self-produced by the acclaimed 5-piece band, Find A Light is Blackberry Smoke’s sixth full-length studio album and features 13 new songs written/co-written by lead-singer and guitarist Charlie Starr. In addition to Starr and band-members Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), and Brandon Still (keyboards), the album also features special guests Robert Randolph (“I’ll Keep Ramblin’”), Amanda Shires (“Let Me Down Easy”) and The Wood Brothers (“Mother Mountain”).

THE TILLERS’ NEW SELF-TITLED STUDIO LP OUT 3/23

The Tillers have been thumping their own distinctive sound of string band style folk music for a decade, riding it all over the country and across the sea. Four studio albums and one live record have won them praise as modern folk storytellers of the national soundscape.

Mid-2017, The Tillers holed up at Candyland Recording Studio in Dayton, KY with producer Mike Montgomery (Jeremy Pinnell, The Breeders) and tracked ten new songs, live to 2” tape. The recordings showcase the diversity of their writing and musicianship, from hard-tackle thump to tender graceful melody – lightening-fast banjo to intricate guitar flat picking, plaintive fiddle, deep anchoring bass and clear tenor harmonies.

PERCH CREEK ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE

Energetic folksters Perch Creek are back with a mischievous new single Gold Shop, a thrilling car-chase of a track, out March 23. The family band have also announced a hilarious, vintage-inspired clip to accompany Gold Shop, directed alongside Honey Editorial. This single is the second taste of Perch Creek’s new self-titled album, which is an eclectic and innovative collection of harmony-driven folk, evocative pop and offbeat soul, set for release on April 13. To celebrate the album, the group will be heading out on an epic national tour, kicking off on May 31 at Fly By Night in Fremantle, WA, then swinging through regional and metropolitan cities in NSW, ACT, QLD, SA and VIC.

DJ and producer Nastia has been announced as the first female mentor for the BURN Residency programme on International Women’s Day. Nastia’s wealth of industry knowledge from so many different perspectives makes her the perfect role model to inspire and mentor a new generation of female DJs and the entire BURN Residency class of 2018. She will join a roster of established music ambassadors guiding and teaching contestants including Luciano and Loco Dice.

Aside from touring the world and playing a selection of DJ bucket list venues and shows like fabric London, Cocoon Ibiza and Carl Cox’s Privilege residency, the Eastern European producer is truly part of her industry in a myriad of ways. Black Stone Cherry Release “Bad Habit,”

Family Tree is the much-anticipated follow up to 2016’s Kentucky, which debuted at #5 on the Official UK Album Chart. Like Kentucky, BLACK STONE CHERRY opted to self-produce and track Family Tree at David Barrick’s Barrick Recording in Glasgow, KY, the same studio where the four-piece recorded their eponymous debut. Sonic Boom & No Joy Share New Single

Pete Kember is UK musician/producer Sonic Boom, founding member of legendary space rock band Spacemen 3, Spectrum, and E.A.R. He has produced for world renowned bands including Beach House, Panda Bear, Stereolab, MGMT, Yo La Tengo and many more. In addition to producing his new album with No Joy, he also co-wrote all the songs and performed on the record, which is a rare treat from the producer.
