Undergoing surgery to treat breast cancer is a traumatic experience especially when mastectomy is called for. Successful treatment can include reconstructive surgery as part of the physical and psychological recovery. Veteran tattoo artist Eric “Eye” Currier is able to add a crucial finishing touch with Restorative Tattoo Art. He creates natural-looking tattoos of nipples and areolas for women who have had mastectomies. I’m hoping you’d consider covering Mr. Currier and the service he provides via feature.
Eye utilizes tools and techniques that he’s perfected in some 30 years of traditional illustrative tattooing, with special expertise in portraiture and realism. He fashions textured, 3-dimensional-appearing reproductions of nipples and areolas for his clients, completing the restorative work that surgery begins.
