Geographer Announces New EP + Shares “Read My Mind” Video

Earmilk has shared the video for Geographer’s single “Read My Mind”. When talking about the track Michael Deni says, “For this video, I got David Dutton, the mastermind behind and director of the “Kites” video. He really connected with the main theme, of two people who love each other just not being able to treat each other well, because of always misinterpreting what the other says, or not being able to properly explain their thoughts and feelings. That’s one of the toughest things to do. Most people feel pretty positively towards each other, especially when they’re in love, and generally, the purity of love and respect that people have for each other becomes a casualty of the gauntlet of insecurity and uncertainty that their thoughts and feelings go through from their heart to their mouth. I think David illustrated this idea so poignantly, and Frankie Tan and Tristan Sean Grimm’s choreography is breathtaking.” Geographer will be releasing the ‘Alone Time’ EP on 4/13. A 2018 spring tour will support the release. Those dates are below.

Dean Daly’s new album ‘Boy on a Hill’

The track begins with an alluring brightness, a gently trickling guitar and emotive strings leading way into a haunting whistling. The vocals show ample emotion and a quivering beauty, alternating between yearning lyrics and the whistling bit, which signals the re-emergence of strings as a major player in the second batch of verses. It’s a memorable track I think you’ll enjoy quite a bit.

Dean recorded the 8-track album ‘Boy on a Hill’ in five days in Brooklyn, at the minimalist Rose Studios. Rose Studios was built by Danny Rose, the engineer, by hand, and sort of peers out at Manhattan from an unassuming building complex in Greenpoint.
