J.I.D Satirizes Animated Classic “EdEddnEddy”

Dreamville rapper J.I.D releases the animated video for his track, “EdEddNEddy.” Animated by Fred Lozano, the video recreates a classic nineties TV show and serves as the vessel for J.I.D’s satirical comment on America’s current political climate. “EdEddNEddy” appears on his debut album The Never Story, which was released by Dreamville/Spillage Village/Interscope Records. The Never Story was featured in Billboard’s Top 20 Rap Albums of 2017, Complex’s Best Albums of 2017, and XXL called the raper “one of the more talented newcomers primed for greatness.”

Air Waves return with single “Morro Bay”

Today Brooklyn-based project Air Waves (aka Nicole Schneit) reveals “Morro Bay”, the first single taken from her third full-length, Warrior. The LP is out April 6 on Western Vinyl. The album cover features an ominous, androgynous figure standing with a bicycle, wearing a gas mask adorned with a daisy. The remarkable image was taken on April 22nd, 1970 at the inaugural Earth Day celebration in New York City by Nicole Schneit’s dad, Martin Schneit. Forty-seven years later, artist Em Rooney hand-painted Schneit’s original black & white photo, resulting in an image that radiates with Warrior’s indefatigable spirit, strength, and love.
