Prog Ensemble Tautologic Releases “Re:Psychle” An Album of Songs About Chicago

Based in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Tautologic bandleader Ethan Sellers is an alumni of the University of Chicago. Written within blocks of the University and the Obama mansion, Sellers’ songs for Re:Psychle document people he has met around the Chicago area.

Addiction and mental illness color many of their stories, and the lyrics open up windows on a host of topics – veterans’ issues, tension between religious belief and a secular society, addiction, conspiracy theories, materialism, mental health, celebrity culture, and the need for re-connection with nature.

SIGRID announces North American Tour Dates

The 21-year-old Norwegian pop sensation has gone from unknown to the most exceptional breakout star in the past year. Today, DJ and producer, Carnage released the audio and visuals to, “Learn How To Watch,” featuring Mac Miller and MadeinTYO. LPX “Bolt in the Blue”

The six-track EP collection of songs – also featuring “Tightrope” and “Tremble” – was executively produced by James Flannigan. The first two tracks on the EP were mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys), the remaining four, mixed by John O’Mahony (LCD Soundsystem, Metric, The Kills). Maxwell Cabana’s “Texas” is now live

The Portland, OR-based act Maxwell Cabana was born in a hazy ’02 Corolla, in the parking lot of a fried chicken joint up in Seattle. It was there that his journey began, and with a basket of chicken and a mix CD of classic Soul tunes, he got to work. Nowadays, his psychedelic R&B quartet includes Seattle native Murray McCulloch on guitar and vocals, Portland’s own Noah Puggarana on keys, and Chicago-born brothers Sean and Jamie Higgins on bass and drums, respectively.
