The Orielles Share New Track “Let Your Dogtooth Grow”
Produced by Marta Salogni, one of the most exciting young producers in the UK, the energetic track follows the success of their other recent tracks “Sugar Tastes Like Salt” and “I Only Bought It For The Bottle”.
Made up of sisters Sidonie B and Esmé Dee Hand Halford and their best friend Henry Carlyle Wade, still aged only 21, 18 & 17 respectively, the band comment: “‘Let Your Dogtooth Grow’ was once again recorded and produced by the legend that is Marta ‘bueno’ Salogni. It features our first (but certainly not last) outing with the Mini Moog, which oscillates freely throughout the closing minute of the track. Furthermore, the outro to the song becomes a melting-pot of our influences, combining guitar riffs reminiscent of Turkish psychedelic musician, Mustafa Ozkent with the Moog Synth riff which is redolent of Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love'”

The band states that:
“the album is now 100% done, Dan (Swanö) did a great mastering job on it as usual. It is again a theme based album, thematically revolving round the rise of the new society that forms after the war that mankind lost against Starlit Flame, the nanomachine entity. Musically it’s a lot more melodic and “sunny”, pun intended. But lyrically it’s still very dark and gritty”.

Singer-songwriter / guitarist Kenny Becker explains: I wrote this song in 2012 following a breakup and a realization that I had already begun to lose my faith. The song got shelved but in 2016 when we began recording new tunes it reemerged and we tracked it. Upon completing the song, I was actually in the midst of another breakup, and was kinda losing my mind with sad and lonely energy. The lyrics took on a renewed meaning. I also had the idea for the song’s ending then, with the weird voices and sorta upbeat-melancholy jam. That ending became a kind of wordless meditation on all the feelings I was having at the time.

India Ramey … From Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery, Alabama
Before launching her music career, India Ramey worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery, Alabama. The goal? To help women who, like her own mother, found themselves in abusive situations.
Blasting twin barrels of Americana noire and southern-gothic songwriting, India Ramey fires on all cylinders with her national debut, Snake Handler. The album, which came out on September 8, goes toe to toe with the best that Margo Price and Neko Case have to offer and we’d love if you’d consider it for your end of year “best of” lists, and/or “amazing albums you may have missed” lists.” There’s a wealth of feature opportunities here as well in terms of furthering the necessary, ongoing conversation about powerful women in the music industry who have powerful stories to tell.

AViVA has been spending the past year traveling between LA and Australia as she experiments with new sounds and styles. This new single reflects that exploration; developing AViVA’s thematic interest in the dichotomy of control on a deeper level and, although full of attitude, reflecting on the journey to find your place in the world. No stranger to feelings of exclusion and disillusionment, AViVA’s music aims to connect with her audience in the way she’s always been drawn to songs that are at once intimate and emotive. Her lyrics are aimed at providing a sense of community and inclusion with the listener; letting them know she has been exactly where they are now. “So long as people find a connection, I will keep being cryptic. Sometimes not having all the facts helps people to find more meaning.” says AViVA.
