Shuckster Single “Three Of Swords”

“III of Swords” is the debut Single from Shuckster, a rock and roll band from Nashville, TN. Made up of Mike Williams and Andy Zimmerman (of The Running) on guitar/vocals and drums respectively, and Ben Lowry (of the 1-10’s and Bang OK Bang) on bass/vocals. The single was produced by Brad Voss, whose past recording projects include bands like The Meat Puppets. Shucksters brand of rock and roll is astonishingly raw for how melodic it is. The harmonic counterpoint between the vocal lines of Williams and Lowry, laid over top of classic song structures is pleasantly irresistible. The songwriting occupies a space sometime between Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley, while the loud/soft dynamics and guitar tones put you right in the peak of 90’s grunge in the vein of The Pixies or Nirvana. The single is available on itunes, Spotify, bandcamp, and from other online music vendors.

Jøur Shares “Danger Game” Track

JOUR is contrast. head vs heart. light vs dark. clear vs obscure. minimalism vs complexity. analog vs electronic. All of these elements, often pitted against each other, find themselves simultaneously alive and true in a beautiful paradox on JØUR’s debut record. In the space between loud and quiet, power and serenity, JØUR dances boldly yet delicately. Her deeply contemplative lyrics are framed in accessible alt-pop sensibilities and beats. Songs which ask the questions of life’s purpose or express doubts about the future are yet winsome and inviting as JØUR’s vocals flit between angelic delicacy and explosive power. Pairing electronic minimalism with elegant musical composition, JØUR achieves what is both timeless and relevant.

The result is an album that much like her Mercury Prize-nominated debut Devotion and its critically acclaimed follow-up Tough Love matches Ware’s ingenuity and delicate attention to detail with a deeply personal lyricism.

Reflective yet forward-looking, Glasshouse was largely shaped by the 2016 birth of Ware’s first child, and by the sometimes-painful soul-searching that marked that transformative moment in her life. “It became an album for my husband and my baby,” says Ware. “It’s an apology, a confession, a love note, a declaration…It shows all my fears and all of my emotion.”

On one side of new EP, “Let It Out,” sits Miles Bonny, a long time musical collaborator who spent his youth soaking in powerful musical moments in NYC under the tutelage of his trumpet-slinging father, Francis Bonny, and later as a teen immersed in New York’s busy indie-hip-hop scene. Oslo based Thea & The Wild releases powerful new single ‘Paved The Way’

“‘Paved The Way’ is a tribute to all my female idols and people who dare to stand up for their beliefs and defy society’s norms” explains Thea. That sentiment runs deep throughout ‘Paved The Way’, with the bold instrumentation mirroring the tracks “call to arms” lyrical approach.

Thea’s songwriting is eclectic, wonderfully varied, and irresistibly complex.
