Wolf Alice release video for new track “Beautifully Unconventional”

Today, London-based rock band Wolf Alice release the music video for their new track “Beautifully Unconventional”. The video, which was directed by Stephen Agnew, premiered on The FADER. “This song is a celebration of all your non-conforming friends,” Ellie Rowsell explained to The FADER. “A celebration of individuality and the adventures that come with embracing that. For me personally I imagined me and my mate Hannah as Christian Slater and Winona Rider in Heathers albeit looking nothing like them. The video has nothing to do with the song – I just didn’t want to have a mullet anymore, seeing as lots of people tore me to pieces in our last video, so it was an excuse to wear a wig!”

The video also marks Brandon’s directorial debut as a filmmaker. “Ave Maria” is the first single from Mark’s forthcoming holiday album entitled “Christmas Miracle,” to be released on Thanksgiving 2017. NYC’s Lynch-Inspired 68Creep Reveal Single ‘Stone Cold Kiss’

NYC outfit 68creep will be releasing their debut LP ‘Goodnight, Sweet Betty’ on September 22. Just ahead of the release date, they have unveiled their new video for ‘Stone Cold Kiss’. This second single follows up the first one from this album ‘Black Cat’.

68creep is an intriguing band and one that Stereo Embers Magazine says are “probably the most David Lynch band on earth”. Indeed, the spirit of filmmaker and musician David Lynch seems to hover above everything the band does like a mercurial patron and spiritual advisor. “What would David do?” has even become the band mantra for swerving creative blocks, ensuring that the music brims with the same essence as one of his films. The album’s name ‘Goodnight, Sweet Betty’ even derives from a quote from Lynch’s film ‘Mulholland Drive’.

60 Minutes: Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson is everything a rock star shouldn’t be. Quiet, humble, and more likely to be found surfing his local Hawaiian waves, or spending time with his family, than raising hell on tour. His reluctance to embrace the excesses of celebrity is probably due to the fact he quite literally fell into the business after a shocking surfing accident which almost killed him. To pass the time as he recovered, Jack picked up a guitar, and as they say, the rest is chart-topping history.

The seismic atrocities and haunting intricacies on Cutting Pieces leave an instantly damaging, long-lasting impression, their cumulative decimation undoubtedly producing GNAW’s most cinematic terror to date.
