Over a couple of nights in my studio I started to piece together this version of Run For It. It was just me, my piano and my laptop. I love recording at night, no distractions. Getting lost in something until you need sleep. I got my friend Cayn Borthwick in on saxophone and then Simon Lam(Kllo) mixed and mastered the track,” said Woodes.

John Dhali – ‘HERE’ – Teaser Video

John says ”This track came from a period when I was placing unrealistic expectations on myself and my music – comparing myself to other artists and always coming up short. I went out to a beautiful spot near my home town on a walk. I came out of my head long enough to notice how beautiful my natural surroundings were. They reflected my own beautiful natural self which I’d forgotten in a cloud of mental chatter. The line ‘Lord I keep on looking out my window, and missing whats this side of my front door’ came up from inside and that was the seedling for the track. It’s about taking stock of what’s HERE”
