Last week irish metalheads , Stormzone were shooting a new music video for a track from their latest album, “Seven Sins”. Acclaimed director Alex Perisson, responsible for many award winning videos from Europe’s top metal bands, had signed up to direct the video, in a concept that involved recording footage in a disused asylum, against the advice of local experts.

As far as we can ascertain, the band and entire production crew encountered some kind of problem during the shoot. We have not been able to contact anyone involved since the date of filming. The attached news report contains footage found at the scene, which some viewers might find distressing.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the band or crew should get in touch immediately.

The Magician & Julian Perretta reveal retrospective music video for ‘Tied Up’

‘Tied Up’ is the new collaborative single from respected producer The Magician and successful singer-songwriter Julian Perretta. Due for release on the 17th February, it marks The Magician’s first release after signing with B1 Recordings, Ministry of Sound and Ultra for a worldwide deal with Sony Music.

‘Tied Up’ features warm chords and a soft bassline underpinning Perretta’s distinctive voice, with piano chords and chopped vocals providing depth in the chorus. With lyrics alluding to a difficult relationship, the song is emotive yet dancefloor-ready.


Victoria, BC quintet, Cartoon Lizard, has premiered a video for the song “All In The Cards” via Popmatters – share via Vimeo. Clairmont The Second – “44 Me”

A one-man-band who raps, produces and mixes his own tracks, and directs his own music videos but can’t yet buy a drink in the United States, Toronto’s Clairmont The Second combines rich, atmospheric soundscapes with perceptive and introspective lyrics. Adopting an unorthodox, voice-altering sing-song flow, the 19-year-old artist channels his inner demons to the outside world in “44 Me,” his latest video, premiered by NOISEY. Filmed in black and white, Clairmont bops around his neighborhood, sipping a forty and dropping by his old public school in the clip, as he recounts a chilling car crash that left Clairmont with a broken leg–a crash in the same spot the following week had fatal consequences. A dark disorienting clip, directed by Clairmont himself, complete with off-kilter closeups and reverse motion effects, “44 Me” is a brooding rumination on the ephemerality of life–one day you’re here…and then you’re gone.

WhiteNails Debuts New Song “Done and Gone”

Quebec hard rock band WhiteNails has signed with New York-based independent rock label Magnetic Eye Records (Ghastly Sound, Summoner). The electric six-piece, who plays amped-up rock ‘n’ roll imbued with massive riffs and a vintage swagger, will release its debut LP, First Trip, on May 26. In advance of the record’s release, Metal Injection premieres the new song, “Done and Gone”, saying, “WhiteNails brings the stoner rock with a heavy dose of hypnotic psychedelia, and it’s fantastic.”
