Carneyval “Love & Emotion”

This past Friday, LA based producer Carneyval released his newest track “Love & Emotion” on Spotify, iTunes, SoundCloud, and all other major platforms. Here Carneyval follows up on his powerful 2016 releases “Tell Me Something Good” featuring Jackson Breit and “It Ain’t Love”. Released on Lowtemp Records, “It Ain’t Love” reached over 700,000 Spotify streams and went number # 1 on both US and Global Viral Spotify Playlists.

Jonny Lang Announces First New Album In Four Years

Jonny Lang is pleased to announce a brand new studio album, Signs, which will be released in North America on September 8th via Concord Records. The album (his sixth major label release) is his first in four years. A pre-order for physical goes live today, with digital to follow on June 9. The European release for Signs will be on August 25 via Provogue Records / Mascot Label Group.

Starting off the record with a juke joint stomp, “Make It Move” is Lang’s story about going to the mountain rather than waiting for it to come to you. “There have been times in my life where I thought something would take care of itself, when I should have put some effort forth to help it happen,” says Lang. “Being proactive has been a weak spot for me, and the song is about doing your part to get things moving.”

STRAIGHT NO CHASER OPEN ANOTHER “SIX PACK”

Atlantic Records recording group Straight No Chaser has announced details of their new EP. “SIX PACK: VOLUME 3” arrives on Friday, July 21st.

“SIX PACK: VOLUME 3” is available for pre-order at all DSPs as well as via the official Straight No Chaser store. All pre-orders will be accompanied by an instant grat download of the EP’s stellar rendition of Jon Bellion’s “All Time Low.”

Camikaze’s new track today

Australian producer Camikaze has teamed up with vocalist Mack Moses for his latest single The Wasted One. This emotive synth pop meets future bass combination makes for an absolutely epic track.

Camikaze follows a long line of breakthrough artists emerging from Triple J’s seemingly bottomless talent pool. He was then pipped for greatness by Ninja Tune in late 2015 for his bootleg of fellow Aussie, Flume’s Some Minds. After gaining traction on his home turf we saw his single Shadows hit the mainstream. He had huge success premiering on Youtube channel MrSuiceSheep, racking up 100,000 views in 24 hours and over 1,000,000 to date.

Silent Rival’s ‘The Kindness of Strangers’ Out Now

LA’s Silent Rival have released their debut album ‘The Kindness Of Strangers’ today.

Examining the past, and using it as a starting point for new beginnings, is a common theme throughout ‘The Kindness of Strangers’. However, the Los Angeles based band—front woman Sara Coda, guitarist Joz Ramirez, bass player Yutaka Sao, and drummer Brock Bowers—thrives on rising from the ashes. “I’ve got to die a little, to live at all!,” Coda exclaims on the first single, “Die A Little”.

GO ASK ALICE sign to LEGEND Recordings

Arizona based Go Ask Alice have signed to Legend Recordings. For two-year-old Go Ask Alice, the days of imitating artists the likes of A Day To Remember and retaining a local band mentality are in the past. As they relaunch, with LEGEND Recordings, a take-no-shit call-out full length This Album Is About You, they’re stepping boldly into New-Nü-Metal territory .

“Pre-existing fans are definitely going to be a little thrown off,” explains vocalist Tyler Samuel. “When we released ‘Revolt’ originally, it definitely caught a couple people off-guard. All the original fans still liked it because it’s definitely still Go Ask Alice, but I think overall people are going to like this album a lot more.”

Matt Siffert (eclectic singer-songwriter) to release new EP in July

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Matt Siffert is set to release his new, self-produced EP, Gallatin, on July 21, 2017. Named after the street that runs through much of East Nashville, the EP features music that is challenging but accessible, with traces of alternative rock, folk, hip-hop, jazz, and experimental music, all filtered through Siffert’s unique, approachable songwriting lens. Gallatin was recorded at Nashville’s Brown Owl studio with local musicians, and John Helfrich, a Nashville-based engineer, was responsible for recording, mixing, and mastering the album.

“Story and melody are at the heart of what I do,” says Siffert. “I love sharing my experiences and responses to living in the modern world, and doing so in a way that both is relatable and musically stimulating.”

Philadelphia four-piece Palm have a new EP on the way and here’s the title track “Shadow Expert”. The new EP, their first release via Carpark Records, is due out June 16th. Steve Aoki Remixes Mangchi’s “The Best”

Mangchi, the experimental punk outfit led by notorious artist David Choe, gets the remix treatment from friend and collaborator Steve Aoki. Aoki transforms “The Best” into a late night club record full of high-energy synths and deep basslines on this heavy 4/4 workout. The boastful vocals don’t lie when they say, “it’s the motherf*cking best.” The artwork for the release is an original piece by David Choe and features his signature Munko whales.

The Major Minor Premiering ‘Different Light’ EP

Imminence Records’ Detroit pop-punk outfit The Major Minor sees their label debut released today. The six track EP, entitled Different Light, features six tracks of emo dripping pop-punk that harkens back to the middle 2000s.

“This EP came about after close to a year of late night writing sessions that consisted of driving to write and record in Ohio at Glass Arrow Audio and Under Hill Studios. I personally try to write about things I’ve been through first or second hand so it’s personal. Some of those topics include working towards goals, through bumps in the road, relationships ending, and being in love.” – Dan Amaro (Vocalist)

SAKIMA releases debut ‘Facsimile’ EP

London-based singer, songwriter and producer SAKIMA has shared his debut Facsimile EP, out today via Moving Castle. His unfiltered, mature brand of pop-R&B approaches the familiar topics of love but from an LGBTQ+ perspective, refusing to shy away from explicit sex and homosexuality. SAKIMA aims to help change the LGBTQ+ narrative and hopes his music will help people feel a little less alienated by the heteronormative culture of pop.

THOMAS AZIER’S SOPHOMORE ALBUM ROUGE OUT NOW

Dutch born and Berlin based musician, Thomas Azier has just released his sophomore album, Rouge on Casablanca / Republic Records. Channeling crooners like Scott Walker and Roy Orbison while offering his own uncompromising and emotionally unfiltered take on pop song craft, Thomas explains, “For me it’s about communication. I’m not afraid to express myself in extreme ways, because for me being an artist is sometimes about putting a magnifying glass on certain aspects of your personality.” Since the release of his debut album Hylas in 2014, the 29-year-old Dutchman has gone on to collaborate on an album with Stromae, supported numerous Woodkid shows, and landed an international TV campaign for Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.

Pulgas Shares New Stop-Motion Video

Philadelphia-based Pulgas will release its debut S/T LP on May 25th via Boiled Records. Self-described as “undeniable garbage wizardry,” Pulgas mixes guitar licks galore with meaty hooks that wouldn’t sound out of place in 1974 Philadelphia soul. The duo of Simon Martinez and Zane Epstein conjure an experimental lo-fi sound that defies classification while clinging to pop, psych and surf elements.

Tuki Carter – “Make A Way”

Tuki Carter carves an unusual path through the music industry, combining his twin passions for rapping and tattoo artistry into a unique, compelling lifestyle. Providing a glimpse behind the scenes, Tuki tattoos a beautiful woman amidst a haze of smoke in the new video for “Make a Way.” Filmed in stylish black and white, “Make A Way” depicts a typical evening in the life of the Taylor Gang artist, packed with rapping, smoking blunts, and inking artful tattoos. Chris Robinson Brotherhood Announce ‘Barefoot In The Head’

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood have announced the release of their next studio album, ‘Barefoot In The Head,’ due July 21 on Silver Arrow Records. The 10-track effort, self-produced by the band, marks a third collection of new material in only two years time. For the fourth year in a row, The CRB will play over 120 shows with summer tour dates already announced and fall tour dates to be released shortly. The Elovaters Announce West Coast Tour with Easy Star All-Stars

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, original reggae band The Elovaters have been bringing their distinctive beach reggae sound to fans and music lovers up and down the East Coast for more than two years. Now, they’re excited to announce a west coast tour with Easy Star All-Stars.

The group’s following has continued to grow as they introduce songs from their new record The Cornerstone, released on the band’s own imprint Belly Full Records. The release (titled for the band’s previous name), debuted at #5 on the iTunes Reggae charts and #9 on the Billboard Reggae Charts, while the video for their single “Sunshine” has received more than 80k views on Facebook and continues to be a staple and crowd favorite in their live performances. Caravan Palace returns with new North American tour dates

Parisian seven-piece electronic big band Caravan Palace hits the road this summer to tour North America in support of their critically acclaimed third full-length album, <|°_°|>, out now on Le Plan Recordings. The tour kicks off June 26 at the Toronto Jazz Festival and includes stops in New York, Boston, Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Chicago.

Caravan Palace’s live show has elicited critical praise, with the Los Angeles Weekly raving that frontwoman “Zoé Colotis is a sassy chanteuse who oozes oodles of charisma as she kicks up her heels merrily and scats-sings with rapid-fire intricacy over her band Caravan Palace’s joyfully jazzy arrangements,” while the Austin American-Statesman says the band “filters the spirit of Django Reinhardt through an electrocool super collider to produce next-generation gypsy jazz with a European club vibe.” The Boston Globe hails the band as “jaunty, quirky, and frenetically danceable.

BASTILLE ANNOUNCES FALL EDITION OF “WILD, WILD WORLD TOUR”

Bastille just wrapped upthe U.S. leg of its extensive “Wild, Wild World Tour” over the weekend – and today the U.K. band announced plans to return to the States for a short jaunt in September. The run will kick off on September 9 at Stage AE in Pittsburgh and take the band to Norfolk, VA, Albany, NY, Providence, RI and Philadelphia, PA. Frenship will join on all dates, except Pittsburgh.

Friend Roulette Announces New EP

Brooklyn’s Friend Roulette has announced a new EP, The Matt Sheffer Songbook, Vol. 1, due out June 16th via Pretty Purgatory. A follow-up to 2015’s I See You. Your Eyes Are Red, the upcoming EP — like the band’s previous releases — features lush layers of instrumentation that includes violin, bass clarinet, synths, and the soulful vocal stylings of singer Julia Tepper. For a first taste of the EP, you can stream lead single “Joan” where it premiered with Stereogum or on Soundcloud.

willolux (Kristina Emmott) called “Modern Day Maestro”

Kristina Emmott, known under the stage name “willolux”, is a Canadian singer/songwriter whose musical style blends classic ’70s folk with infectious modern dream-pop. Her introspective, whimsical songs recall the work of songstresses such as Neko Case, Ingrid Michaelson, and Regina Spektor.

Her upcoming release, produced by Jon Anderson (Andy Shauf, Aidan Knight), is a full-length album entitled Thread & Tape. It is a collection of wistful songs, at once fragile and bold, which bravely lays bare questions of self-love, healing, and mental health. Thread & Tape is set to release April 28th, 2017.
