Ski masked graffiti writers calmly throw their tags up in the streets, railcars and train station platforms of Europe’s capital cities. Berlin. Paris. Rome. Stockholm. Trouble lurks around every corner and dark clouds follow you overhead. The ominous sensations are impossible to shake.

With a collection of new original productions scheduled to be released this summer entitled ‘Soundtrack’ and an album in the pipeline, the crossover pioneers are back for good.
Starting out in Southampton, Mark Hill and Pete Devereux quickly became one of the biggest propositions in music with their ability to achieve massive success in both the underground and mainstream. With few artists able to create and sustain a cross-over appeal, Artful Dodger were able to bring the garage sound they helped pioneer to the charts and secured several hits that have stood the test of time including ‘Re-Rewind’, ‘Movin’ Too Fast’, ‘Please Don’t Turn Me On’ and ‘Woman Trouble’. The duo are noted for influencing the likes of Craig David, The Streets, Jack Garrett, Ed Sheeran and many other across the pop, grime and house scene.
British Singer/Songwriter Rachel Jane releases new single ‘Waiting For A Change’
At only twenty-one years of age, Rachel Jane is a force to be reckoned with. Not only a singer/songwriter but also a budding producer, the songstress debuted her first project ‘Back of The Wind’ in 2015 to critical acclaim. Her first offering showcased a tenacious sense of conviction, not only in her music but also her message. In a time of fleeting singles, auto tuned vocals and more hype then actual delivery, her music is substance; it is crafted rather then generated, uplifting and inspired.
Her stunning track “Awaken” has been selected for the official BIMM 2017 Album. You can catch her at a host of major festivals this summer including; Big Church Day Out and 2000 Trees Festival, alongside household names such as Slaves and Nothing But Thieves.
“…he’s a living document of a passion pursued, tattooed with euphoric successes…Now that the prevailing global mood matches Juiceboxxx’s freaked out intensity, the world may have found a tragically contemporary rap anthem.” – The Fader
he streets have always dictated the direction of tomorrow’s rap music. Before the major label record deals, screaming fans on tour and million-dollar music videos, artists relied on the streets to A&R mixtapes to determine the next superstar rapper.
Take Young Jeezy’s Tha Streets Iz Watchin, T.I’s Down With the King or Wiz Kalifa’sKush & OJ, for example. These street-certified staples first became favorites on the underground before blowing the rappers’ careers into the stratosphere. In today’s ever-changing rap game, mixtapes still dictate tomorrow’s celebrities.
And the recently released Apryl “Double A” Adams Presents Break Yo Self hosted by Shawty Lo is destined to be one of the most influential mixtapes this year. With 25 of the hottest tracks from neophyte hot spitters to veterans MCs, there is no need for the skip button. Break Yo Self is non-stop neck-jerking fire.

Edmondson’s music is music of a certain set of physical places—public plazas, flat highways, flashes of kudzu and palmettos. These places, however, are always depicted in flux: they are being walked through, driven on, viewed in flashes and blurs. The album is about these and other kinds of changes, especially those that prompt reflection upon childhood memories and grappling with whether your experiences were as good (or bad) at the time as you think they are now.

Freya Wilcox & The Howl shares “Nothing”
The track premiered on New Noise Magazine where Wilcox (guitar, lead vox) shared:
“‘Nothing’ is about the fact that we walk into adult life completely unprepared for its real challenges and I guess the bitterness that I feel knowing someone might have offered some kind of warning; though ultimately knowing no-one is really qualified to offer such.
Why couldn’t someone have said, ‘By the way, one day you’ll go back to your hometown and be swallowed by a burning desire to feel a sense of belonging, but you won’t be able to quite touch it because too much will have changed.’ Or, ‘Just so you know, you’ll lose people along the way, both literally and figuratively, and you’ll have to deal with all the things you never said or all of the things you should have done, and the harder you fight the grief the worse it will get.’
And because everyone goes about their business feeling these feelings and pretending we’re not all hurting in similar ways, we’re all left with a sense of dissonance and discomfort in our realities, and for me it leaves me feeling that I have little to offer others, and that I’m too fearful to take much of anything from anyone else.”

Larsen recorded Resolute with impromptu voice memos on his phone, architecting a primitive framework for the songs. Long-time friend, producer and songwriter Luke Thompson eventually joined him at Mike Rosenberg’s (aka Passenger) studio in Brighton to finish up the demos. The resulting record breathes new life into a genre that’s sometimes so respectful of the past, it fails to push toward the future.”
