Breaker Novogratz to Release Web Series to Premiere Online on April 26th

Breaker Novogratz has been busy since releasing his latest hit single, “Home”. The multi-talented teen is starring in his own web series, appropriately named Breaking Breaker, which also features his brother, Five. The web series follows Breaker’s climb in the pop music world, and will coincide with the release of his latest single, “My Body” available on Spotify & iTunes on May 12th.

Breaker is no stranger to Hollywood. Irish indie-rock band Susie Blue have just released a feel-good video to accompany their brand new single ‘Be A Lady’. It features a group of young and carefree children enjoying their time together, mimicking and dressing up the band.

As with their previous single ‘People Like Us’ it celebrates queer issues and challenges homophobia and gender stereotypes.

Edmondson Premieres Single, “Turnings” via Atwood

Edmondson’s music is music of a certain set of physical places—public plazas, flat highways, flashes of kudzu and palmettos. These places, however, are always depicted in flux: they are being walked through, driven on, viewed in flashes and blurs. The album is about these and other kinds of changes, especially those that prompt reflection upon childhood memories and grappling with whether your experiences were as good (or bad) at the time as you think they are now.

Trevor Sensor (Jagjaguwar) announces Debut Album ‘Andy Warhol’s Dream’ o

On June 16, Trevor Sensor will release his debut album Andy Warhol’s Dream via Jagjaguwar. The album was recorded at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, IL and was produced by Richard Swift (The Shins, Damien Jurado), Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado and Brandon Darner (Imagine Dragons, The Envy Corps). Backing Sensor up is a rhythm section of Julien Ehrlich (drums) and Max Kakacek (bass) of Whitney.

Today, Sensor shared “High Beams,” the first single from the forthcoming album. Noisey spoke with Sensor about his new album and said “in his distinctly coarse timbre that he follows in the tradition of Mellencamp, Tweedy and Oberst, in portraying a literate and working class Midwest, and the album is full of autobiographical tales and characters.”

Indie/emo band HOUSEHOLD premiere new songs

The poignant video was directed by Aaron Hymes, and follows a day in the life of a “king of a one horse town,” who Auerbach describes as “anyone who’s scared of the outside world. NPR Music Premieres New Christian Scott Track “Diaspora”

Two-time Edison award winning, Grammy® nominated trumpeter, composer, producer, designer of innovative instruments and interactive media Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah is set to release three albums to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the very first Jazz recordings of 1917. Zion I’s ‘Wake Up’ Video Premieres On TheFader.com

Oakland-based hip-hop artist Zion I (aka Zumbi) drops his latest wake up call, a video called ‘Wake Up’ from is album, The Labyrinth, (Mind Over Matter Records).

“It’s a call for people to stay woke as a community and as a nation and reflect on how we got here,” explains MC Zumbi. “It reflects the feeling I have everyday when I wake up and realize that I make music and perform for a living.”

Levi Hummon drops new track “Don’t Waste The Night”

A year after the release of his first self-titled EP, rising singer/songwriter Levi Hummon is set to release new song, “Don’t Waste The Night,” on Iconic Entertainment Records this Friday. Written by Hummon along with Josh Thompson and Matt Dragstrem, Hummon first introduced fans to the upbeat rolling-rhythm song produced by Jimmy Robbins during his live shows earlier this year.

“There were always these moments–growing up in a household where you’re trained to pay attention to the details of the story, with my dad as a songwriter–where I would hear a line and think, ‘ah, that would be a great song,'” shares Hummon. “It’s a habit I can’t break. I was writing with Josh and Matt, and we were drawn to the phrase ‘Don’t Waste The Night,’ and we wanted to create an anthem to encourage having a fun and spontaneous time.”

Institute announces “Subordination” LP for Sacred Bones Records

Since their first demo in 2013, the Austin expats in Institute have edged their raw anarcho punk blitz into something much more expansive and nuanced. 2014’s Salt EP marked the beginning of the band’s working relationship with Sacred Bones, and it explored longer, more experimental song forms. Catharsis, the band’s debut full-length, was another huge push forward, with a slightly cleaner production and some krautrock influence creeping in around the edges. Subordination delves even further out of genre, incorporating hard rock and glam and writing some of the most diverse material of their career.

Molly, Harry, Anthony, and Albert are a group of lifelong friends ready to set a stage for a longstanding career in music. Originally formed as a five-piece band known as The Wooden Wings in 2008, the group shifted and changed to Blonde Roses – the perfect balance between “sassy and feminine.”

Grim Streaker Share “Guts” Video On Impose

Today, Impose shares Grim Streaker’s video for their single “Guts”. The band will be releasing their debut EP ‘Girl Minority’ on 6/23.

Grim Streaker plays the kind of loud, fast, abrasive punk that emerged in L.A. and D.C. in the early-80s, mixed with a dose of the snotty, mid-tempo punk of late-70s New York and London. The band’s sound lies somewhere between that of the Adolescents, the Dead Boys, X-Ray Spex and Fugazi, with layers of guitar noise reminiscent of current bands like A Place to Bury Strangers, White Lung and METZ.
