Coucheron has gone on to garner tens of million of streams off a handful of tracks, was selected by Spotify as a “Spotlight Artist” for 2015 and produced and knocked out official remixes for the likes of Mayer Hawthorne, B.o.B, CeeLo Green, Charlie Puth, Nick Jonas, Pitbull and Noonie Bao. Following the release of their first two acclaimed albums, Please Make Welcome (2011) and Holly Grove (2013), the Atlanta-based band The Whiskey Gentry are set to release their third full-length studio album entitled Dead Ringer this spring. On it, the husband and wife duo of Lauren Staley & Jason Morrow and bandmates have created an effort that builds on many of the sounds of their previous albums – incorporating deep country, Americana, honky-tonk, bluegrass and a stiff shot of gritty rock ’n’ roll, yet it also finds the band testing themselves and pushing beyond their own boundaries.
“After years of painstaking, meticulous labor, the band that has become Oceans Are Zeroes serves a sober, cinematic, tranquil, and exultant album. These songs leave us shivering in cold spells of doubt and toss with us in sleepless nights. In them we crawl over the merciless tundra of unrequited love and quiver with indignant rage at broken promises. We are taken up on the hopeful wings of the morning and sunk into the depths of the sea. We are haunted by perplexity and muted in in humbles resignation. We are washed ashore and consoled by the lapping of the very ocean whose breakers broke us. Are you familiar with grief? Are you acquainted with sorrow? Do you know from the trenches that joy is a fight? Then these songs know you. And, if we listen well, the ache, the tears, the hope and the fury galvanize into a vehement resolve. We sense that there is something at stake in this life, that in our moral universe there is risk, reward, danger, and consequence. There is goodness, truth and beauty; these must be tended and fought for.” – Matt Shockey

Stealth’s ‘How Much Further’ video
The video represents the politically frustrated themes of the song, with tearaway dancers incorporating sign language to signify that, for too long, the higher powers have been deaf to everyday needs…
The seeds of Her’s have well and truly rooted themselves in Liverpool. Originally a meeting of minds between Norway’s Audun Laading and Barrow-born Stephen Fitzpatrick, Her’s forged a strong chemical bond through a mutual love of off-kilter humour and outsider art.
Having clocked close to a million streams between the two tracks on their debut single ‘Dorothy’ and ‘What Once Was’, and after following it up with the lackadaisical thrift-store humour of their sun-bleached single ‘Marcel’, Her’s have compiled a rollicking record of their infant career so far. ‘Songs of Her’s’ will be released on the 12th of May, and it includes all their recorded output to date plus six new songs to make for the most complete introduction to their slacker world yet.

Woods announces new album
“We walked down streets and crammed onto trains, our faces masks of fear. Unsure how to react, we, collectively, did not react. We grieved for a country and an ideal we never thought would die. We grieved for a loss of certainty.
We argued about what we thought would happen. We preached understanding. We advocated for anger. Some people said that we’d at least get some incredible art, other people said that was a small view of a world we were quickly realizing we’d misunderstood. Everyone was right. Everyone was wrong. Art made in precarious times matters as much as we let it matter.
TUSKS reveals cinematic new track ‘Toronto’
One Little Indian signee Tusks aka Emily Underhill is quickly making a name for herself with her panoramic glacial sound vistas. Latest single ‘Toronto’ (written in the city it’s named after) is the sound of an artist arriving at the beginning of her peak artistic maturity.
Nestled somewhere between the freeform ultra-slick urban balladeering of James Blake and the frosty and ethereal openness of Sigur Ros, ‘Toronto’ is by turns subtle and deeply emotive, slowly mounting to a breathless climax that highlights Emily’s sheer depth of feeling as an artist.

Dublin’s Naoise Roo continues her effervescent streak with an a cappella version of Roy Orbison’s sombre yet much loved hit “Crying”. The track was recorded live in Dublin, Ireland last weekend by Gav Hennessy (The Co-Present) at a fundraising and awareness event hosted by Dublin Digital Radio to raise funds for Strike 4 Repeal. Roo’s stunning vocals take this classic track to a new level of gripping intensity.
Set for release today, March 8, 2017, in honor of International Women’s Day – a global event celebrating women’s achievements in all aspects of society, culture, and politics to help promote gender equality, Naoise’s spell-binding and hypnotic cover is mesmerizing in its stark retelling, injecting a fierceness and strength that recalls the intensity of both PJ Harvey and Siouxsie Sioux.

In “As The World Caves In,” Maltese tells a tongue-in-cheek story featuring Theresa May and Donald Trump, who decide to spend one last night of romance together before triggering atomic warfare. “Hopefully it comes across romantic, sexy, but also sinister and stupid,” explains Matt. “It goes without saying but everything’s a bit sinister and stupid in 2017.”
Kidepo hear ‘One’
Today he shares the video for the debut track ‘One’, strikingly filmed in the Kidepo Valley national park in Northeast Uganda
Of the video Jonah says; ‘I was working with a medical charity in Karamoja, Uganda (by Kidepo Valley National Park). I have ancestors from there, and look strikingly like the people of that tribe, but couldn’t communicate with them. A friend of mine had just told me about “hiraeth” a Welsh world meaning “homesickness for a home you can’t return to”, and the lyrics struck me as we were riding back home. I recorded this at 6AM the next day, and this project was born. This song is about longing for roots, so for the video, I chose to plant myself in the one place I love the most.”

Never Meant To Last is one of those wondrous tunes that harps back to the glory days of uplifting house music whilst being ahead of its time in terms of where the genre is at currently – something that obviously didn’t go unnoticed by the Armada A&R team.
Noga Erez Premieres “Toy” Video Via Stereogum
Of the song, Erez says, “‘Toy’ is sung from the point of view of someone who has inherited leadership, regardless of their talent or experience. The lyrics, while short, are meant to show the contrast between someone who disowns his ‘crown’ vs. someone who embraces the privilege, entitlement and influence and uses it for their own personal needs. They become self-absorbed and destructive. Showing how quickly and easily power can corrupt a person.”
Gonjasufi announces a new collection of remixes, covers and original music, titled Mandela Effect. This release shows the producer expanding on his stark message from Callus with support from a diverse cast of musical peers and local collaborators.
The Mandela Effect is a recent phenomenon in which experiencers claim to be living in a reality slightly different from the one they remember. These differences, manifested in literature, movies, logos and even people themselves, constitute the evidence of an altered reality for “Mandela” believers. The term was coined after large groups of people seemed to “misremember” Nelson Mandela dying during his imprisonment in South Africa.

Video: Tuki Carter – “Drinking Weed”
Like many of his Taylor Gang associates, there are very few things in life that give Tuki Carter greater pleasure than getting higher than a satellite. In “Drinking Weed,” a highlight from his Tuki Toker Tape, Tuki recounts one of his highest nights: “Bought a bunch of sour power/shit put me on the couch/quiet as a fuckin’ mouse/got hungry as fuck/but I couldn’t get my ass up.” Premiered today by RESPECT Mag, the psychedelic video for “Drinking Weed” finds Tuki’s disembodied head and shoulders floating through trippy greenscreen effects, as three lady scientists attempt to synthesize the perfect high. Released in December, The Tuki Toker Tape showcases the “pothead” side of Tuki’s persona, emphasizing tracks with deep bass and heavy reverb and introspective, party-positive lyrics that appeal to the heads. The laid-back Tuki Toker Tape paves the way for Flowers & Planes, Tuki’s upcoming album.

Within seconds of the dropping the needle you’ll get the feeling of being in good hands: we have here another AP course in power-pop, delivered by our man Matthew Melton with the confidence and consistency of your favorite late night diner. The familiarity works as a curious device – this is directly in his wheelhouse, no sonic surprises whatsoever, yet somehow these odes to teenage love and heartache are brand new, catchy and vital. His twists and turns utilizing the same tools are frankly astounding in their continued freshness. That this is the final Warm Soda record (in anticipation of his new band Dream Machine’s debut, also forthcoming on Castle Face Records) seems logical when you consider the way he’s re-written the same vibe into 4 excellent records of catchy pop. A lesser talent would have given up after 2 records tops – Melton’s commitment to the platonic ideal of power pop again bears fruit, and dare I say it’s the best yet? Mix tape makers of the world, take note: if you leave the new Warm Soda out of your next amorous transmission to that cute guy or girl you just met, you’re fucking up.

Quick to extol the healing powers of the magic bean, Eric takes some female friends out to his local cafe on “Coffee Love,” his latest video. “A comfort zone does not have to be a place. A comfort zone is whatever makes you feel at ease. It can be a person, an object, a sensation. No two comfort zones are the same. We recognize that we have had the privilege and good fortune to experience comfort in a way that unfortunately eludes many. We feel that everyone deserves to feel the relief, however fleeting, that is offered by a comfort zone. We recognize that most people spend the majority of their time outside their comfort zones, and with this song we hope to express our belief that everyone deserves to feel comfortable and safe.
Whatever, wherever, whoever your comfort zone may be, it is our hope that you are able to access it as often as is necessary. Love and respect” – Partner
Irwell, the debut LP by Manchester, UK-based back metal outfit COLD FELL is playing in its entirety at Noisey, as the album sees release through Argento Records.
Offers Noisey in a glowing write-up of the album, “Irwell marks the first proper releases from the band, which is steered by one Laurence Taylor, who’s also known for his work with Noisey faves Caïna. Here, Taylor sticks to vocals, and is joined by guitarists Karl Sveinsson and Giovanni Infantino, drummer Callum Cox, and Oliver Edward Turner on bass. Together, their take on the genre is more orthodox than one might expect, offering predominantly straightforward though heavily atmospheric (think plague miasma rather than gossamer Cascadiana) black metal, with a heavy, stinking tinge of decrepit death metal.”
