While a song about the joy of packing on a few pounds and a widening booty may seem contrary to the messages bombarding the popular music and media landscapes, smooth soul singer Selina Albright’s “Eat Something” is instantly resonating with fans and radio programmers, including SiriusXM Watercolors’ Dave Koz Lounge, which will feature the song on the February 5 national broadcast. The mid-tempo adult R&B song bolstered by guitarist Kay-Ta Matsuno’s crafty touch is the lead single from Albright’s first full-length album, the very personal “Conversations,” which will be released March 17 by Golden Rays Music with preorders beginning February 1 on iTunes.
“Over the past few years, I’ve noticed that I’ve reprioritized my life and stopped putting so much emphasis on doing and being what’s most acceptable to others, and instead focused more on appreciating and expressing who I’ve become. Getting to that place in my life inspired me to write about topics I normally wouldn’t, such as ‘Eat Something.’ I know it’s unconventional to write a song about being so happy that you gain weight from eating more, but there’s a freedom in the candor of the lyrics. There was no way I was going to change that. It was far too special,” said Albright, who selected the heartening cut as the first single based upon the immediate and rousing response she receives whenever performing the song in concert and from the fervent reaction from her “FanFamily” on social media.

David Luning “Driftin”
In “Driftin’,” the lead single from Restless, Luning sings, “I want to keep on driftin’ like a rambling man,” and describes what it’s like to be a musician on tour: “Mile after mile down the road / Lookin’ for a new place to go / Sippin’ whiskey with some new-found friends.”
“This song was inspired by the odd feeling I had when my band and I came home after tour,” Luning says.”There is something that feels epic about touring … Going on tour with my band felt like really doing something – going out there and experiencing new things, playing for new people, meeting new people, seeing towns that we’d never seen before and having experiences we’d never had before …

From the Midwest where the Star Tribune, likened the “marathon concert” to Bruce Springsteen’s to the Northeast, where Rolling Stone said Church played an “expertly crafted show, largely due to the versatility of Church’s band,” the “Nashville Maverick” (Star Tribune) has drawn fans from around the country to rock with him on his 38-song journey.
This weekend, the Chief hit Philadelphia, New York and Boston, starting at the Wells Fargo Center, where CBS Philly said he showed an “example of the shredding power of Eric Church and his band – grinding guitar power with a twang and the soaring spectacle of arena rock.” Consistent with his undaunted disposition, Church took 13,300 fans through old and new songs, playing most of the hits in his arsenal.

We drove the gear out to Seattle from Louisville to meet the rest of the airborne band, listening to music and talking the best, dumb shit. That man was brilliant in every possible way. And he loved pie so much that he couldn’t read a dessert menu without nearly going insane with skyrocketing joy. I cannot help but to think about his love of pie and smile.”
In 1976, jazz pianist Bill Evans was in a class by himself. The New Jersey-born Evans had been recording as a leader for 20 years, and become a true force in modern music. Rykka new video for “Runnin’ Away”
The director, Brianne Nord-Stewart, came to stay with me in Switzerland for two weeks while we shot this music video. She stayed on my farm and we would swim in Lake Zurich everyday. It was a unique experience to creatively collaborate with Brianne while spending so much time together. I believe she clearly understands me as an artist because of this. Pieces of our time together inspired various parts of the video. For example, we met a man at the lake one day who collected vintage cars and allowed us to use one for a few shots. I was also living with a sheep on the farm who makes a cameo in the video as well.

As the instrumental progressed, the sample stuck and Tegan & Sara allowed her to use it.
