Sian Cross stunned listeners with her recent single Tell Anybody. Praised by critics and fans alike, it was made Track Of The Day on Clash, whilst reviewers praised her honest songwriting and exquisite vocals.
During On and On, her character fights for survival on the strip club stage, outwardly dominant but inwardly vulnerable. Her hypnotic vocals switch effortlessly from whisper to yell, against a sonically adventurous backdrop of startling synths and stuttering rhythms. It’s like Banks’ vocals married with FKA Twigs productions. Every listen reveals new layers. Sian will be heading out on tour in November with some talented artists, including a support slot for American artist Mishka Shubaly.

Bobby Nourmand – “D E E P in NY”
September has been an impressive month for LA/NY-based Bobby Nourmand, after being dubbed one of the ‘Hottest New Artists’ from both DJMag and Mixmag in their September issues. That’s not why we’re here though – We’re here for ‘D E E P in NY.’ After seeing a heavy rotation on Sirius XM’s Chill Station, an impressive showing in Hype Machine’s popular charts, and widespread tastemaker support, “D E E P” received an unexpected, yet proper Big Apple twist.
Drawn to Bobby Nourmand’s haunting melodies, deep-as-the-Atlantic basslines, and meticulously layered soundscapes, GoodMorning and DOC, two New York-based rappers, added another layer to an already stellar track. Bringing in a fresh perspective with a catchy-as-hell hook and some absolutely fire bars, these two showcase an end result that’s worthy of cracking a fresh pair of Jordan’s out the box, rocking a pair of dark shades, & getting too-lit-for-your-own-good in the VIP. There might be, just a few more parties, from New York to LA. With Bobby’s long-standing roots in NYC, and his lifelong affinity with the culture of hip-hop, this unlikely-at-first collaboration ended up being a perfect match. All that’s left to do is head out and get fucked up, for no reason.
