Resilient jazz singer Anna Danes finds her wings

It was against all odds that Anna Danes found herself standing in Capitol Records Studio A, in front of the same microphone used by her role models, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, recording an a cappella song that she wrote for her sophomore album. In the dimly lit studio in the heart of Hollywood, the woman who escaped communist Poland as a child and overcame the pain and loneliness of a loveless marriage by discovering her voice just three years ago poured her broken heart into the intimate album closer, “I Love You,” as producer Dave Darling sat spellbound at the recording console. In the famed studio during sessions financed by selling a car, Danes shared her deeply personal tales of love and loss through the six acoustic jazz songs that she wrote for “Find Your Wings,” the DLG Records disc scheduled for release on October 14 that is completed by five standards and a stunning interpretation of blues singer Janiva Magness’ “When You Were My King.”

HEARTACHE launched new video “Breaking News”

Progressive rock, metal, atmosphere and skill are fused with almost pop music flavoured melodies in what becomes the perfect marriage of inspiration and history of the great progressive and rock bands from the seventies until today. Novelty and experimentation that also manage to grant the pleasure of familiarity.

Born during the school years from the minds of friends that show musical affinity and great passion, Heartache began to lay the foundation of what will become its peculiarity: crating original, innovative music, done with care in every detail. After a few important line-up changes, the embryo transformed into what it is today, with its launch in the musical scene thanks to numerous live events that put the band on the scene of important roman clubs such as the Jailbreak and many Italian town squares.

The band first met with Cassy through the Living The Dream Foundation and upon hearing that her condition worsened, arranged for a visit while recording the album. They spent the day with Cassy and her family, brought her to the studio for a preview of the record (she was the first person outside of the band, producer and engineer to hear the album) and recorded her handclaps for “The Lie”, an epic “Cold World” track that finds Carlile venting his frustrations about the medical system and “calling out the one percent for not taking care of the people they should be,” he explains. “Now Cassy’s name and the sound of her clapping hands are on the record,” says Carlile. “It’s something that captures that moment and that relationship forever. SONNE RILEY GIVES US ALL THE FEELS ON “WANT LOVE”

It is hard to encapsulate an artist like Sonne in a few words. First off, he is only 19 and has an entire story ahead of him to create. It would be easy to define him simply as the sum total of his parts to date; a bi-polar mother with a drug habit who attempted suicide, years of homelessness in Baltimore followed by CPS and foster homes, being forced to play the role of sole breadwinner for a large family at only 17 and so on. It can certainly be stated with a fair amount of accuracy that those things have given Sonne an old soul and an understanding of life that is beyond his years but it goes far deeper than that.
