Bea Miller has released the music video for “yes girl,” the first track from her upcoming sophomore album due out early 2017. The video, which premiered on Vevo August 25th, was directed by Aya Tanimura (Katy Perry) and shot in Los Angeles. Watch it HERE.
‘”yes girl” is about having a relationship with anybody who is incredibly controlling,” says Bea. “It’s about overcoming that and realizing you don’t need them in your life anymore.” The video features Bea in an all-white room, clad only in a knitted sweater that unravels as disembodied arms pull at the thread. “The strings are representative of people in my life who need things from me constantly, who make me feel like I’m tied down to [them] in a literal sense. The video visually brings that feeling and struggle to life,” she explains.
