Indie folk band Watching for Foxes have released their full-length album Undone Bird. The 10-track collection is the first new release from the band with their new lineup. Undone Bird is now streaming on Pop Matters and is available for purchase on Bandcamp.
“This project was really a labor of love for us,” frontman Joey Frendo explained. “We spent a ton of time crafting this album, from track sequencing and album art, to rehashing old songs and creating new ones, and we hope that hard work and attention to detail really shines through. The band has a belief about how albums should be a sonic experience on their own, a cohesive piece of art that impacts the listener.”

LA underground hero AC Slater has dropped the video for his latest EP’s title track, “Bass Inside”, out now on OWSLA. The song showcases the traditional UK sound that AC and friends have helped bring to dance prominence in Los Angeles and the rest of America. “The track was born, like most of our songs, out of jam but this one was particularly potent,” the band elaborates of “Starry Wisdom.” “During the auspicious dog days of July 2013, we had one particular session that delivered to us a lot of the material that wound up on the record. We would jam for twenty-minutes, take a break, jam again, etc. One of those blocks delivered this song petty much in its entirety. We trimmed the fat and rearranged maybe one or two riffs in the middle, but this song basically arrived as is, start to finish, in a way that is different from how we normally work. The title is a nod to Lovecraft as Starry Wisdom is the name of a cult that exists in his mythos.”

America’s # 1 Gold Record Award Winning Group of all time in all categories KISS have partnered with Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) and Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) to salute members of the National Guard and military Reserve forces in over 30 U.S. cities during their 2016 ‘KISS: Freedom to Rock’ tour.
KISS will hire a currently serving member of the National Guard or Reserve force to be a “Roadie for the Day” for each of the 32 U.S. concerts. In addition, KISS will donate a limited number of tickets to veterans in each community and distribute those tickets through VetTix.org.
