BLACK COFFEE NEW SINGLE
Hot off the heels of his weekend two performance at Coachella, multi-award winning producer Black Coffee releases his new single “Come With Me” out now via Ultra Music. The single is taken from his highly anticipated album Pieces of Me, recently signed to Ultra and set for release later this year. “Come With Me” is an easy-going record with light flourishes of house, perfect for winding down the last lingering moments of spring. The track layers a guitar driven melody with a building bassline, soulful vocal, and surplus of unique instrumentation. Clearly drawing on influences from Black Coffee’s native South Africa, the warmth of the tune opens it up to appreciation by fans of all genres.

Thomas Cohen has shared his latest track, “Ain’t Gonna Be No Rain” exclusively on Stereogum today. It is one of the hilghlights from his forthcoming album, Bloom Forever, which is out May 6th on Stolen.
Thomas Cohen, previously frontman of the band S.C.U.M., was just 21-years-old when they split, Cohen’s life soon presented him with a different set of subjects to draw from, his marriage and the birth of his two sons gave his subsequent songwriting a newfound focus and clarity.

USED CASETTES NEW SINGLE
Sunburnt, half-dazed and several piers down from the fluoride tide of the Korean Wave, Used Cassettes are a stomp-and-stagger rock band based in Seoul. Today Under the Radar premiered the second track “Ghost Stories” off their upcoming album Rock n Rills due May 6th on MagicStrawberry Sound.
Used Cassettes’ tunes are served straight up like the Stones’, though maybe a bit sandier, and waterlogged by an unlikely drift of far-flung currents. The group may have met not far from Gangnam, but they hail from South Africa, Canada, and Detroit.
AESOP ROCK NEW SINGLE
Aesop Rock just shared a full video stream of his new album The Impossible Kid (out this Friday on Rhymesayers). Boston Ballet presents Mirrors: a diverse selection of thought-provoking works that reflect the many facets of contemporary ballet, featuring two eagerly anticipated world premieres by Karole Armitage and Yury Yanowsky. Resonance, a dynamic work by José Martinez created for Boston Ballet in 2014, opens the program with “a rush of beauty, speed, and surprises” (Iris Fanger, The Patriot Ledger). The Company debuts in legendary Canadian choreographer Norbert Vesak’s Belong, a “touching and timeless” pas de deux that has received multiple international awards (Karen Drozda, Critical Dance). Adding to the evening’s program, the Company performs two world premieres: Smoke and Mirrors, the first major work commissioned by the Company for the Opera House stage by former Boston Ballet Principal Dancer Yury Yanowsky, followed by Karole Armitage’s Bitches Brew, a psychedelic display of athleticism set to Miles Davis’ famous jazz track. KAPPEKOFF SHARES “ALL DAY LONG” SINGLE
Oslo duo Kappekoff share a new single “All Day Long” via Oslo Records. Following its release earlier this month, the track entered Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart at #2 on Friday, April 8th. The chart shows “..the most shared, trending tracks across the entire World”.
Kappekoff (Magnus Falkenberg (23) and Rasmus Thallaug (23)) released their debut EP in 2014, and were awarded “unsigned artist of the week” by Norwegian radio station NRK P3. Their song “You Want It” was added to the station’s playlists. The same summer, Kappekoff released the single “Human Touch”, a collaboration with Maya Vik, and played at Slottsfjell Festival and Øya Festival’s club program. Gary Clark Jr. premieres his three-song “Can’t Sleep” video trilogy today on Noisey/VICE. The nearly 10-minute clip features three songs from Clark’s latest album The Story of Sonny Boy Slim: “Can’t Sleep,” “BYOB,” and “Shake.”
The trilogy was directed by Gus Black, an award-winning director who has lensed clips for Echosmith, The Wild Feathers, and Deftones, among others. VERIDIA NEW VIDEO “PRETTY LIES”
Alternative band VERIDIA from Nashville, TN has released a music video for their latest single “Pretty Lies.” The track and video features Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire and showcases a different side of the vocalist who is better known for his role in the metalcore outfit. The song is the title track from VERIDIA’s 2015 EP that debuted in the Top 20 of the iTunes Alternative Albums chart and spent 26 weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard charts with 6 weeks at #1. The imagery of the video aims to dismantle the distorted perception people have of themselves based on what they see on social media and vocalist Deena Jakoub hopes it will help others gain a sense of self-worth.
