DIPLO’S MAJOR LAZER “LEAN ON” SINGLE IS NOW SPOTIFY’S MOST STREAMED SONG OF ALL TIME
Besting Ed Sheeran for the most streamed song of all time on Spotify, Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire of Major Lazer have achieved an enormous audience with global reach for “Lean On” with DJ Snake and MØ. Garnering more than 526 million plays worldwide in the months since its release, the song became the most successful independent song of all time after hitting #1 at Top 40 radio earlier this year and was named Spotify’s global song of the summer.

9 YEAR OLD TO RELEASE DEBUT EP
Nine-year-old vocal sensation and winner of Norway’s Got Talent, Angelina Jordan, will release her debut EP ‘My Christmas’ on iTunes, November 20. Casket Girls have announced a split EP with Stardeath and White Dwarfs which will feature two new songs from each band. The retail version will be released on Record Store Day (November 27, Black Friday) on pink vinyl via Graveface Records. Stardeath and White Dwarfs’ Dennis Coyne says, “I’ve always been a fan of these kind of records, whether I’m involved in it, or if I’m buying a record that to other like minded bands made. EMITT RHODES TO RELEASE FIRST NEW ALBUM IN 43 YEARS + WSJ PREMIERE
Emitt Rhodes began his career in his teens, as drummer for the SoCal band the Palace Guard. He eventually took the reigns as leader of the Merry Go Round, who scored pop hits with “Live” and “You’re a Very Lovely Woman” in the late 1960s. At the release of his critically acclaimed eponymous debut in 1971, he gained a reputation as a “one-man Beatles,” since he wrote, recorded and produced the album in his home studio. But then, the way many music stories unfurl, after battling bad contracts and industry demands, Rhodes saw his last release, Farewell to Paradise, in 1973. Emitt Rhodes never recorded another full-length LP. Until now.
In the wake of San Diego noise-punk trio KEEPERS’ debut 7″ titled Bláse, The group has partnered up with California-based music site Free Bike Valet to showcase their video for the title track of the 7″ Bláse.

21-year-old Chicago emcee/producer Saba is following his recent collaboration alongside Chance the Rapper on the fellow Chicago artist’s “Angels” single, which they debuted on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, with a new release of his own. “TimeZone”/”Whip (areyoudown?)” merges two singles from 2014’s break-out project, ComfortZone. Directed by Tom Vin, the video was inspired by Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor cover art. “That was one of the first rap albums that I was super connected to and super in love with the sound of it,” Saba told Noisey in their premiere post. “So that was like a no-brainer to be like ‘let’s try to visualize this and make it a motion picture kind of deal where we take a picture and add some life to it.’has the emcee/producer from Chicago’s West Side journeying through a surreal world.”
