The View has released a brand new video for the track “Under The Rug”. The jangly single is a prime example of the vibrant, rollicking indie rock sound captured on the Scottish outfit’s new album, Ropewalk, out now via Slimstyle Records.
For its fifth studio album, The View enlisted Albert Hammond, Jr. of The Strokes and producer/engineer Gus Oberg to co-produce Ropewalk at Clouds Hill studios in Hamburg. “It felt like a massive compliment to have them wanting to work with us,” shares Kyle Falconer (singer/guitarist). “A lot of producers just like the actual sound, but Albert and Gus sat down and went through all the songs one by one. We’d never done that before.”
