NEW SINGLE “BAD MOTHERFUCKER”
House Producer/DJ and In The Loop label boss Lupe Fuentes has released her rawest single to date in the form of “Bad Motherfucker”.
While some House tracks can be really happy, fluffy, and uplifting, others can be downright rough, rugged, raw and mean. Such is the case with IN THE LOOP’s Bad Motherfucker , the latest offering from label boss Lupe Fuentes. Not for the faint of heart, BMF’s bass-line cuts straight through the dance floor like some kind of weapon, as Lupe goes BMF Beast mode on us! If you are looking for some uggghhhhhh , this is SOOOO Nasty!, then Bad Motherfucker is for you. Can you guess where the vocals samples are from? – In The Loop

CLIFF LOTHAR “THE SNOW IS FALLING”
The Snow Is Falling is taken from the new EP Old Jams Die Hard #1, which is a bunch of misfit old jams and throwaways that refused to die and finally congregated into this thing. “Tugeda” is some sort of rave ordeal that’s been laying around the ESX-1 for ages, popping up in live sets here and there. “Don’t need nobody”, don’t even get me started on that one… “Going dutch” was basically an aggressive SE-1 demo that some Smackos got their hands on and started playing out, and “The snow is falling” is a 10 years old 707/101/dx7 tape jam (the cassette kind). That’s about it, take care!
RON LOUIS SMITH II DEBUT ALBUM
Having been pioneers in the Disco scene in the early 1970’s through mid 80’s, KC and the Sunshine Band soared with hits like “That’s The Way (I Like It)”, “Get Down Tonight”, “Boogie Shoes” and so many more, inspiring a dance revolution and even becoming the first group to have four No. 1 pop songs in a single year since The Beatles. Now, the son of the “heart and soul” in their legendary horn section–Ron Louis Smith II– is stepping into his father’s shoes with his very first album titled “The Prince of Sunshine” being released via Sunpire Records on August 11th.
As the ‘heir to the throne’ to a rich legacy which both his father Ronald L. Smith Sr. and uncle Jerome Smith helped create, Ron Louis Smith II is bringing the same high-energy sound and legendary “feel good Miami vibes” created in the height of the disco era back to the 21st Century party scene. As an accomplished producer, arranger, singer, and songwriter in his own right- Smith’s debut album brings Disco and Electric Funk, the highly rhythmic and powerful Junkanoo style and Caribbean flavor to eight tracks with an electrifying energy and driving potency that will surely cement him at the top of the international club-music scene in no time!

BROKE ROYALS “THIS TIME”
Broke Royals announce the release of their electro pop EP, The Luxury of Time Pt. II, due out August 7th. Through electric melodies and supereminent beats, the duo addresses the precious, ever-fleeting commodity of time.
Since their initial release of the album, The Luxury of Time Pt. I, the duo has been fascinated by the idea of time and how people choose to spend, or waste, their own precious time. Colin Cross, one half of the duo which also includes Philip Basnight, describes this fascination, “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve begun to notice more and more how I never feel like I can find enough time with the things and people I love. I’ve also always partially thought of the title being almost ironic because the time we put into our writing and recording is made up of long hours, late nights, and early mornings feeling far from ‘luxurious’.”

‘WIN THE PRIZE THAT COULD LAUNCH YOUR MUSIC CAREER’
The super exciting Melbourne Music Bank which was announced last week – calling all Victorian-based musicians to submit an original song that could see them win a prize that will launch their music career – it’s a brilliant platform for new or young or indie artists to get a leg up in what can be a very difficult industry to crack. Quite a few Aussie artists who’ve forged careers in music got their start by being given a chance like this – Ella won free recording time in a studio after being discovered at a fete, many iconic artists have broken through triple j’s unearthed platform etc.
It’s an insanely awesome opportunity, as the Melbourne Music Bank winner will receive a toolkit for success, comprising two days of recording at Melbourne’s famous Sing Sing studios, a film clip by Oh Yeah Wow, album artwork, printed CDs and the chance of their winning song to feature in a Bank of Melbourne TV ad. This year the prize also includes the expertise of a dedicated A-team of the industry’s finest including management and mentoring by Chris Robinson, publicity by On The Map PR, radio plugging by Varrasso PR and gig bookings by 123 Agency – pretty epic and there’s nothing else like this out there around the country!
Ella Hooper is on board as Ambassador again this year – and you can check out the promotional video for more information.
To enter, musicians should submit their entry at www.bankofmelbourne.com.au/melbmusicbank before August 23.

Uniform formed in New York City in late 2013 when old friends Ben Greenberg (Hubble, The Men, Pygmy Shrews) and Michael Berdan (York Factory Complaint, Drunkdriver, Believer/Law) realized they lived on the same street. Their impulsive collaboration quickly yielded Our Blood / Of Sound Mind and Body single. The six tracks that comprise the equally abrasive but more refined Perfect World have been coming together between tours and work ever since.

DFACE “SEERIOUS”
A few of you have noticed a spike in DFace’s output lately — he’s really not bluffing. With his fifth release in five weeks, he’s also letting the world know that we can expect a new single every week for the rest of the year. You ever looked up prolific in the dictionary?
This week is the electro banger “Seerious,” which hearkens back to late-naughties heavy electro and blog house for a slamming track that wouldn’t be out of place in a surprisingly wide variety of house taste brackets. Toeing the line of big room without diving headlong into played-out tropes, DFace stays true to his experimental nature, re-writing genre rules as he moves forward with nary a flinch.
