SWAHILI PSYCH-DRIVEN “VESTAL” VIDEO HITS NO FEAR OF POP

Following the underground acclaim of Portland quintet Swahili’s self-titled debut comes their second LP, AMOVREVX (pronounced am-or-euh). Now set for a new release date of March 24th on Seattle label Translinguistic Other (pushed back from February 24th originally), the album is named for the sixth arcanum of the Tarot de Marseilles (AMOVREVX aka “The Lover”) and explores the themes of duality, partnership and the interplay of opposing forces in the constant renewal of creation. “I think of this album as a multidimensional sling-shot,” says vocalist Van Pham. “It begins on a crossroads – then travels around this mysterious interior world, visiting many different sonic landscapes along the way.”

LTN & RONSKI SPEED PRESENT “LINT”

SARAH GAYLE MEECH NEW ALBUM MARCH 31

Nashville based country artist, Sarah Gayle Meech is blazing a trail of her own, one that the founding fathers of Country Music would have been proud of. Having lived in Tennessee for only five years she successfully blends the city’s nature, spirit and seasons into a beautifully unforgiving soundscape. Drawing inspiration and hailing from Longview, Washington, she was surrounded by evergreens, small towns and peo- ple with grit, themes that surface often in her songwriting. After moving to Los Angeles for ten years she honed her writing skills and decided to put down roots in Nashville.

THE WOODSMAN’S BABE SIGNS TO CI RECORDS + ALBUM TEASER

Feeling that he had been suppressing a drastically different style of music, the L.A. native answered the call to begin writing and performing more mellow and introspective songs that he felt better narrated his ever-changing path in life. This Spring, Lengson will finally be releasing his debut album as The Woodsman’s Babe, coming 4/14 on CI Records.

NODIS EPK

Based on the title 22nd Century, Nodis` debut mixtape, you would get the impression that it was futuristic or outlandish. Well this is somewhat the case. Nodis` first installment, “Yammers”, from the project, did not reference aliens and robots, yet it brought about a generational feel. You will find that almost all of Nodis` tracks capture that feeling, except now it has turned universal. With “22nd Century”, Nodis aims to capture the generational uprising that is currently going on right now. 22nd Century includes production by Grammy award-winning producer Blac Elvis, District 9 and Sergio Cortez. The project`s features are still unknown, but we`ve got our fingers crossed for some Braddock Road bangers. And we do believe our wish will be granted. 22nd Century drops 2.22.15.

KUZIN “DUMB BITCH”

“Dumb Bitch” is the first single off Kuzin’s debut album and it’s also what people will call you if you don’t check it out now before it blows up on the radio. It’s a return to pure rock and roll, it’s the kind of edgy that existed before that word was dulled and smoothed — it’s angry guitars and furious female vocals. Jessica Maros (AKA Kuzin) proves to be a multi-talented artist on a swift ascent like the struck chords of her surging guitars delivering their high pitched rage. It’s the clash against the contemporary music world saturated with the melancholy and the saccharine, a wake-up call, a needed slap in the face. So check out “Dumb Bitch” and don’t be one.
