SKOPE NEWS FOR OCTOBER 20, 2014

KRISTOFFER RAGNSTAM AND THE HARBOUR HEADS NEW ALBUM OCTOBER 21

Acclaimed producer and artist Kristoffer Ragnstam has reunited with band, The Harbour Heads, for the release of their highly anticipated American debut album Skyscrapers with Seagulls set to release via INgrooves on October 21st. After rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone (Europe), and a ton of love and acclaim from outlets overseas, the band is finally ready to bring their talents stateside with a genre-bending project that has a vibe created by a decade of touring Europe, Japan and USA together, one week of endless recording, and a shared appreciation for catchy hooks and twisted urban backbeats.

Skyscrapers With Seagulls is a direct and honest album about life. The psychedelic krout-voodoo of German Maracas meets the sticky first single “Moving Backwards”, the dreamy soundscapes of “Salute The Mute” and the gloomy childhood depiction of “My Mothers House” (featuring Ed Harcourt) form a well-rounded and entirely unique listening experience. Between the great reviews, interesting studio collaboration history and live performances with the likes of El Perro del Mar, Ed Harcourt, Moon Zappa, Midlake, Mumford & Sons, Telekinesis and Debbie Harry, amongst others, Kristoffer and The Harbour Heads are only getting started on an epic musical journey that’s sure to win the hearts and ears of fans on this side of the pond.

DIGITALISM “WOLVES”

Following up on their earlier 2014 single “Wolves,” the German electro-house duo Digitalism build on that noticeably glossy and bright production with their new song, “Second Chance.” Working similarly to the effects of a physical stimulant, the track delivers a high-energy, party-ready sensory attack that’s firmly fastened to a throbbing dance melody.
