After being brought together through a string of personal connections- Ross and Slater played together in a band throughout high school, Slater and Boras went to the same jazz conservatory for college, and Boras and Ross were childhood neighbors, the band was formed in 2012. Inspired by the different music they all loved, everything from Blondie to the Cure to Heart to Kate Bush and Joy Division, the music of New Myths is a combination of electronic elements with a new wave sensibility.
