PHOEBE HUNT & THE GATHERERS FEATURING CONNOR FORSYTH WALK HARD ON NEW ALBUM
The rambling instinct of a troubadour burns within the soul of singer-songwriter-fiddler Phoebe Hunt, who, in recent years, has hopped from Austin to Nashville to Brooklyn. This wanderlust is evident in her music, which effortlessly blends country, swing, jazz, folk, and pop on her new album with The Gatherers featuring Connor Forsyth, Walk with Me, due out Aug. 26, 2014.
The record is composed of 11 original songs written with longtime collaborator Connor Forsyth, a multi-instrumentalist who has toured with Ray Price and fronted his own band, The Ghosts Along the Brazos – the two artists met while part of Americana band The Belleville Outfit and have been writing and performing together for more than six years. Craft Spells, aka Justin Vallesteros, shares today the video for the title track from the recently released Nausea, his follow up to 2011’s Idle Labor.
The video was created by visual artist Colin McFadyen by layering various .gif images, hand drawn images that had been put through effects and timelapsed video. The result is a visual focus on vibration and rhythm, restless and vibrating, reflecting the rhythm of the artist process, propelled by the energy of the song.

RONI SIZE ANNOUNCES NEW SOLO MATERIAL
Groundbreaking British drum’n’bass pioneer, Roni Size, has announced a new album and EP due for release later this summer. Both projects will be released on his new label, Mansion Sounds. Size has also revealed that Reprazent will return later this year, with a new album set for release in early 2015.
Entitled ‘Take Kontrol’, the solo album will be released on 25th August and will be the first from Size for over a decade. The album and the 6 track EP, ‘Size Matters’ (released 18th August), will focus purely on “dancefloor cuts for the heads”, with Size reprising his role as a producer/DJ away from the live environment he’s explored with Reprazent. ‘Take Kontrol’ will be released as an iTunes deluxe album, featuring 25 tracks and an exclusive DJ mix from Roni. The standard CD/digital album will feature 16 tracks.
