A native of Kinshasa, Zaire, Zayne moved to Canada at age 13 after a civil war erupted in his hometown. Several years later, he began a five-year stint touring throughout Asia, where he played keys, guitar and sang in a funk band. When he moved to Los Angeles in 2013, Zayne focused on pop-alternative music. Since then, he has made waves in the LA music scene, resulting in residencies at the House of Blues and Molly Malone’s and will be playing Canadian Music Week next month.
The Hollywood Progressive says, “He is always trailblazing, always out of the box and into your pleasure centers. Put on your headphones, clear out the dance floor, forget everything you think you know about rock and pop.” AutobiograMe is available now. Stay tuned for more from Eric Zayne!
