WIRE: NEW VIDEO BY CLAIR REILLY
Clair Reilly-Roe’s new video “Knocked Down” was shot last October in Coney Island, right before the park closed for the winter. Footage from the video takes place in a variety of locations such as the boardwalk, beach, convertible, ferris wheel, and a roller coaster where she can be found alongside her reliable, life size, fuzzy co-star a giant moving bear. Her quirky lyrics and upbeat melody gives off an inspirational feel to a not so fortunate situation that took place in Reilly-Roe’s personal life. She sings about changing and letting go of past hurts and how love conquers all. Reilly-Roe sings: I’ve been knocked down and hurt again / Stabbed by my own best friend but I’ll make it through / Loving you, loving you, loving you.
Pop singer-songwriter Clair Reilly-Roe takes another step into the indie pop music scene with her new music video “Knocked Down”, which is the next single off her current EP #CuddleBear, set to release June 3rd, 2014. #CuddleBear features six melodic tracks (five originals and one Serge Gainsbourg remake) that tell the stories from her personal experiences about the triumph or loss of love.
NEW SINGLE BY YANN TIERSEN
“A Midsummer Evening” is the first track to be taken from Tiersen’s new album, ∞ (Infinity), out May 2oth, 2014. “A Midsummer Evening,” dense with manipulated textures, strings and choral chanting, began, as the album did, as little more than noise from toys. The initial recordings took place in Iceland and are explained here by Tiersen: “The idea was to start with toy instruments as a reference to my early works, then manipulate the sounds electronically. Then I added a new layer of acoustic instrumentation, and repeated the same process. Finally I repeated the process once more with strings, so the whole album was a constant back and forth from acoustic to electronic to digital, and then back to analogue.”

It’s a different side of the musical brain. The picture is created by the director and the writers, so this truly is a collaborative process.” All episodes of the show will be available on Hulu Plus on April 9th. Two episodes will debut on Hulu.com on April 9th, with new episodes rolling out weekly thereafter.
A SUNNY DAY IN GLASGOW ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM + NEW SINGLE
Lefse is extremely pleased to announce that A Sunny Day In Glasgow has partnered with the label and will be issuing their third proper LP, Sea When Absent, on June 24th! The first single, “In Love With Useless”, which was released earlier this year to many accolades including Pitchfork’s “Best New Track” distinction, is available for those who may have missed it here.
Sea When Absent situates itself in the science fiction that is life in 2014 and goes looking for what new myths might speak to us in our post-Fukushima, post-quantum, post-everything world. Recorded over a year and half with Jeff Zeigler (War on Drugs, Kurt Vile) at his Uniform Recording Studios in Eraserhood Philadelphia, the album is a conscious move away from the bright-dark, ambient maximalism of the band’s acclaimed double LP, Ashes Grammar, and a move towards a post-millennial, up-front pop sound. Sea When Absent is simultaneously A Sunny Day in Glasgow at their most accessible, most insane, and most rock.

EMINEM & RIHANNA TOUR TO SELL OUT FAST
Even though tickets don’t officially go on sale to the general public until Friday, Eminem and Rihanna are topping sales charts on the secondary ticket market with their “Monster” tour. The 2014 tour is appearing in only three venues, with two shows each, and secondary ticket market sales have already been strong. The smallest of the three venues is Comerica Park, with a seating capacity of only 41,782 (as opposed to MetLife Stadium’s 82,566 and the Rose Bowl’s 92,542), so fans in Eminem’s home town of Detroit may have a difficult time finding seats to see the pair some critics have dubbed “Beauty and the Beast.” Fans can search for tickets at www.TicketLiquidator.com.
