WIRE: NEW VIDEO BY ADANOWSKY ON VOGUE.COM

Recording under the stage name Adanowsky, Adan Jodorowsky has taken a sharp left turn away from the lush folk pop of his 2011 U.S. debut Amador, an album that found him collaborating with Devendra Banhart and exploring the deepest romantic desires and heartbreaks of the titular character (the name translates to “The Lover”).

With his latest full-length ADA, he has put aside the emotion and is purely concentrating on physical pleasures. “I wanted something sweaty and gross,” Adanowsky says. “I wanted to feel the drugs on this album. I’m not a drug addict at all but I wanted people to feel that same kind of high in the music.” To experience the high, check out Vogue’s q&a with Adan and the debut of the video for “Dancing To The Radio” HERE.

BLUE NOTE RECORDS SIGNS VINTAGE TROUBLE

Blue Note Records has signed acclaimed indie rock and soul outfit Vintage Trouble. The Los Angeles-based band will be entering the studio shortly to begin work on its Blue Note debut. Vintage Trouble will also be performing at numerous festivals in the coming months, including Bonnaroo.

“It’s so cool to have Vintage Trouble on Blue Note!” said Blue Note Records President Don Was. “I went to see them play at the El Rey Theater a few months ago…there were lines around the block and tickets were sold out based solely on word-of-mouth. They played a two hour show…half of the songs were brand new and totally unfamiliar to the audience…yet the place was rocking from the first notes straight through to the final encore…do you know how hard it is for a new band to pull that off?? It requires tremendous charisma, thundering power, incredible grooves and top notch songwriting…Vintage Trouble has it all going on!”

NEW ALBUM OUT BY DIVERSA

Making his label debut, electronic craftsmen Diversa emerges from under the radar to offer one of the most refreshingly eclectic albums of 2014. Beautiful Girl, Wild Hair is a mosaic built from the shards of broken genres patterned to compliment the characteristics of each unique element.

Shades of IDM, Chill Wave, and Deep House are colored with Dubstep, Glitch Hop, and Drum N Bass. Diversa spans the outer reaches of sonic space in his explorations beyond traditional EDM boundaries. Esoteric without being pretentious, avant-garde without being unruly – Beautiful Girl, Wild Hair is an album of uncommon craft.

WIRE: BROWN SHOE SHARE NEW SINGLE “NIGHTWALKER”

With the debut of their new single “Nightwalker”, Brown Shoe deliver an emotionally heady taste of Lonely Beast Part I today via Death and Taxes. The earlier announcement of their multi-part release Lonely Beast, Brown Shoe are subtly challenging the fundamentals of releasing a record in today’s swiftly moving environment and our ever-shrinking attention spans. By separating the LP into three parts– Lonely Beast Part I (out April 8th) and Parts II and III (out later this year), the band is circumventing the pressure to release ten or twelve songs all at once simply because that’s the format an album is supposed to follow.
