NEW TOUR & MUSIC FROM COUNTING CROWS
Counting Crows announced today they will kick off a major worldwide tour this summer with new music, starting in North America. The tour will feature songs from the band’s forthcoming album, their first new material in seven years, scheduled to be released in Fall 2014, along with the band’s extensive catalogue of hit songs. Known as one of the most dynamic live bands performing today, the tour will begin June 11 in Tampa, FL and travel through cities like New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Boston, Minneapolis, Phoenix, their hometown of Berkeley, and Las Vegas before wrapping in Los Angeles at the historic Greek Theatre on August 17. Earlier this year, Ellen DeGeneres danced to Brandy Clark’s song “Stripes” during the Beats Music Super Bowl commercial. This week, the two entertainers will meet when Clark makes her debut appearance on the nationally-syndicated “Ellen DeGeneres Show” this Thursday, Mar. 20. During the appearance, Clark will perform “Stripes,” which can be found on her first album, 12 Stories.
“It was incredible that my song was used in the Beats Music commercial starring Ellen earlier this year, and now I am going to perform ‘Stripes’ on her show,” said Clark. “I am so excited, and I look forward to meeting her.”

JOSÃ‰ JAMES ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM
JosÃ© James has announced a June 10 release date for his new album, While You Were Sleeping, his fifth studio album and his second album for Blue Note Records. While You Were Sleeping is the follow-up to his widely acclaimed R&B and jazz steeped No Beginning No End, and signals a new creative direction for the versatile singer-songwriter. The album was recorded in Brooklyn, NY, and was produced by JosÃ© and Brian Bender.
That creative shift is heard in the rock edge of tracks like “EveryLittleThing” and “Anywhere U Go” and is evidenced in a change in JosÃ©’s band which adds guitarist Brad Allen Williams to the stellar line-up of keyboardist Kris Bowers, bassist Solomon Dorsey and drummer Richard Spaven.
