Chop Shop / Island Records is thrilled to welcome Chicago, IL rock band EMPIRES to the label. “What a privilege to sign a band as compelling, original and artistic as Empires to Chop Shop Records,” says owner Alex Patsavas of the first new act signed under the recent partnership between Chop Shop and Universal’s East Coast Label Group. “The band is excellent as both songsmiths and performers, and we look forward to this release (our first in 2014).”
