San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Scott Gagner drops the first single off his new record in the form of a clever and beautifully shot new video “I’ll Be Drinking This Christmas.” Watch Scott get festive and a bit tipsy in the video for this soulful instant holiday classic.
“This is the only song you need for the Yuletide season. We anticipate that it will become a perennial holiday classic.” -Carpe Absurdum
Scott’s second LP Rise & Shine, will be released on January 23rd, 2014. Recorded live to 2″ analog tape, the album includes Ken Stringfellow (Posies, Big Star, R.E.M.) and John Vanderslice’s backing band. This beautiful, melodic, and emotionally direct set of songs was born out of a mutual love of 1970’s singer-songwriters and pre-WWII standards. Recommended for fans of Ron Sexsmith, Nick Lowe, and Harry Nilsson. It also contains a cover of The Ink Spots 1941 classic “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire.”
