The Hussy’s “Pagan Hiss” comes out on Southpaw Records. The Hussy describe themselves as “a psych punk duo from the politically charged cheese rectum that is Madison, Wisconsin.” The new album has already seen praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Spin, Ad Hoc, Impose, Get Bent, Raven Sings the Blues, and others.
The Hussy is a psych punk duo from the politically charged cheese rectum that is Madison, Wisconsin. Bobby Hussy plays guitar and sings; Heather Hussy plays drums and sings. Over the past few years the band has gained a following through constant touring, intense live shows and prolific output. You may remember The Hussy’s immediately classic sophomore LP, Weed Seizure, which turned more than a few heads last year with it’s wicked array of pummeling drums, swirling guitars and instantly recognizable cover art designed by Ben Lyon. Tic Tac Totally Records released Weed Seizure in April 2012, and like the band’s first and long OOP debut LP, Cement Tomb Mind Control, the first pressing of Weed Seizure sold out shortly after being unleashed.
