Glenn Jones has announced the release of My Garden State, his fifth solo full length and second for Thrill Jockey. Earlier today Pitchfork premiered “Bergen County Farewell,” one of the album’s most expressive compositions. A devotee of the Takoma school, Magnet has called Glenn, “the greatest living practitioner of the American Primitive guitar style.” My Garden State is is most personal collection of songs to date, showing Glenn’s talent for expressing his most private emotions in a way that resonates universally.
