Boston indie/electronic duo Stereo Telescope, “who marry rock hooks with synth bleeps and bloops as well as anyone out there,” (Boston Band Crush) will digitally release their newest full-length album, On and Running, on January 29, 2013.
[youtube Uaph9h1oEGI]Stereo Telescope spent three years fine-tuning their live show to create what would become On and Running. The first single, “Fires,” is the perfect introduction to members Kurt Schneider (vocals, Ableton, live programming, Juno 6, Moog Taurus ii, Thingamagoop, Pocket Piano, glockenspiel, guitar, bass) and Nikki Dessingue (vocals, MicroKorg, Theremin, hand percussion). After separate stints in the Boston music scene, Nikki and Kurt find common ground in their indie rock beginnings, the challenges and freedom that electronic music affords them, and the desire to force every member of their live audience into dance-party submission.
