Rodney Patterson

Skope: How did it feel to be included in A2W Oct – Dec 2012?
Rodney Patterson: I feel so thankful & excited to be included in this amazing opportunity.   I think it’s fantastic that you guys provide this kind of exposure to unsigned artists like myself.   I put a lot of hard work into my debut album, and to be selected for this opportunity is truly an honor for me.

Skope: Any plans for the Holidays this season?
Rodney Patterson: My plan this holiday is to perform a couple of shows in Dallas Texas, which is where I’m based. My parents and brothers live there too, so I will spend the holidays with them.   As an Indie Artist, I’m always on my humble hustle promoting my album LOVE > FEAR and trying to inspire people through my music.

Skope: What are you currently promoting the most?
Rodney Patterson: I would say my debut album since this is my first. I am consistently promoting my debut album Love > Fear which was released in April of 2012.

Skope: What do you enjoy when you are not playing music?
Rodney Patterson: When I’m not performing, I enjoy hanging out with family & friends. I actually love going to a coffee house or lounge bar to listen to other acoustic bands.

Skope: Do you have any video or single posted online we should hear?
Rodney Patterson: I’m actually in the process of making a video for my top song which is Destination To Perfection pt2. I have some videos on YouTube of some coffee house & outside performances.

Skope: What is coming up for you & where are you at online?
Rodney Patterson: I will be back in the studio early March to work on my EP.   I’m also going to be work with two new upcoming female artists. My latest album LOVE > FEAR is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and Spotify.   If you want to follow me via Social Media, check me out at www.Rodney-Patterson.com.

DogHouse Swine

Skope: How did it feel to be included in A2W Oct – Dec 2012?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: It feels great to have a feature in such an influential magazine.

Skope: Any plans for any holiday music this season?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: Not this year, but we started to work on some punk rock holiday tunes, just too much going on, we’ll save em for the 2013 holiday

Skope: What are you currently promoting the most via an album, tour, single etc?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: We are currently promoting our latest CD ‘Dogs Of War’, with the single ‘I’m Suffocated’, through internet radio and as much press as we can get worldwide. Taiwain, Italy, and South America seem to be the most productive for us. I know its all over the map, but the more the merrier. We are also almost done putting together a tour for the midwest U.S. in March 2013. As well as continuing to play regionally in the Northeast. Were also making a video for the song ‘Going Down The Bar’, and working on new material for another album in summer of 2013.

Skope: What do you enjoy when you are not playing music?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: Relaxing at home, spending time with friends and family, and finding new craft beers to try

Skope: Do you have any video or single posted online we should hear?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: We have a video on YouTube for our song ‘Bitch’ from our first Album ‘Faster Side of Normal’ released in 2010. You can find it here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yuh3wCiLK-g

The video was directed by Dave Neabore from Dog Eat Dog fame, and it features B-movie Scream queen Ruby Larocca, who has may a horror pic to her credit. Dave will also be directing our next video for ‘Goin’ Down The Bar’

Skope: What is coming up for you & where you at online?
Ian / DogHouse Swine: Like I said in the previous question, we have the midwest tour in march, a new video, and recording for a new CD. Also continuing to work with a few promoters overseas to eventually work our way into doing some international touring, and building our fanbase. Here are some places you can find us online:

Michael Wood Band
http://www.sonicbids.com/MichaelWoodBand

Skope: How did it feel to be included in A2W Oct – Dec 2012?
Michael Wood Band: Great! Skopemag is a diverse site and we always appreciate the exposure. There’s no better feeling than knowing the music you making is being appreciated, except maybe making the music. It really makes those long drives to gigs worth it.

Skope: Any plans for any holiday music this season?
Michael Wood Band: Only listening to the classics (and avoiding a few).

Skope: What are you currently promoting the most via an album, tour, single etc?
Michael Wood Band: All of the above, really.   Our debut album “Occupy This” was released this May and the single “End of the World” has been getting lots of airplay and the music video for it now has over 58, 000 Youtube views!   That promotion has done a lot for us, and now we’re starting to book up for the coming year with a lot of Canadian dates.

Skope: What do you enjoy when you are not playing music?
Michael Wood Band: …eating?

Skope: Do you have any video or single posted online we should hear?
Michael Wood Band: Yes, the video for our single “End of the World” has been getting lots of views online:

[youtube sM7v8fJa_ek]

Skope: What is coming up for you & where you at online?
Michael Wood Band: We have a lot of shows coming up throughout Canada in the New Year. All tour dates can be found on our website at www.michaelwoodband.com.   This summer is starting to look pretty exciting! We’ve applied to a bunch of festivals and are starting to get some really positive responses back. We get to go back to the Calgary Stampede this summer, we went last year to play some shows, and it was a blast.
