Spartan, are the result of four talented musicians being into the same music, i.e. Rock. They all hail from the South of England (Portsmouth). They write their own music and already have an albums worth of original songs stashed securely between hair and teenage ears. Their first EP “A New Age” is out now. That is what they are developing, a new age in rock/metal. From their point of view, it’s been far too long since youngsters made proper rock. They have been favourably compared to the likes of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and sometimes even the Foo Fighters.

Harvey, the lead singer, songwriter and lead guitarist wants a teen led rock revival. “What we need are kids to actually learn to play their own instruments again. And I don’t mean tapping a drum machine or sampling other peoples stuff, or even sweeping your finger across an iPad. That isn’t making music. I mean, hours and hours of learning, practicing and rehearsing until you can do it live. That is music!”
