LADY GAGA TO PERFORM AT MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN
Lady Gaga will perform at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan on June 25th. Gaga is the first performer to be announced for the 10th annual MTV Video Music Awards Japan, which are being dubbed the Video Music Aid Japan this year in order to raise awareness about the recent natural disasters that hit the country and to benefit the Japanese Red Cross. The international event will be hosted by Japanese pop sensation AKB48 and feature a string of performances from international, regional and Japanese artists. A special one-hour version of the event will air on MTV channels worldwide as an installment of the network’s weekly live music series.
LATINO GROUPS ANGRY AT GAGA
The Catholic League isn’t pleased with Lady Gaga for portraying Mary Magdalene in the video for her song “Judas,” and apparently, neither are a number of Latino groups from Arizona. According to Examiner.com, Jorge Serrano of the group Take Back Aztlan said that Gaga is doing nothing more than copying Madonna, and also “exploiting the Catholic religion, which many Latinos follow.”
A NEW LYRIC FROM BORN THIS WAY
Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way doesn’t come out until late May, but the pop star just revealed a new lyric from a song on the record at a recent show. According to a video on PerezHilton.com, the words are, “You’ve got to earn your leather in this part of town.” See the clip on the gossip site now.
GAGA TALKS ALEXANDER McQUEEN
Lady Gaga thinks that the late designer Alexander McQueen had something to do with writing her latest hit single, “Born This Way.” In her interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gaga said that she wrote the song right after his death, and she’s sure that “he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away.”

The votes are in and the track listing has been revealed for the NKOTBSB album. The effort will feature New Kids classics like “Step By Step,” “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “I’ll Be Loving You Forever” and more. It also boasts Backstreet Boys hits like “I Want It That Way,” “Everybody (Backstreets Back),” “Larger Than Life” and others. KE$HA IS AGAINST CLUBBING SEALS
Ke$ha has joined a PETA campaign against baby seal clubbing in Canada. Us Weekly reports that the singer is helping to raise awareness against the slaughter of young harp seals, which are killed every year for their soft fur. The tag line for the posters and billboards is “Canada’s Club Scene Sucks.”

Lots of people have been in the news recently talking about how much they love Adele, and recently, the singer-songwriter returned the favor, speaking about some artists that she’s fond of. New York Magazine is reporting that the pop accidentally got revenge when he ran over the foot of a paparazzi member who was standing a bit too close. Bieber announced Wednesday night that he plans to take a break from Twitter to spend time with his family.

American Idol season seven winner David Cook will head back to the Idol stage on Thursday. According to Billboard.com, Glee may be planning on covering Rebecca Black’s viral single “Friday.” Three of the male cast members will reportedly take on the performance of “Friday.” The video for “Friday” surpassed 100-million views this week on YouTube. Black is currently working on a follow-up track to “Friday,” called “LOL.”

According to AllHipHop.com, a woman reportedly suffered head injuries following a Wiz Khalifa concert in New Hampshire last week. Authorities are investigating what caused the woman to be found unconscious behind the arena. Apparently, she is believed to have fallen from a retaining wall. In other news, Khalifa recently announced that his upcoming Rolling Papers World Tour will kick off on June 12th in Missouri.

SWIFT BUYS HOUSE FOR HER MOM AND DAD
Taylor Swift recently bought a 1.4-million dollar house in Nashville for her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift. The five-thousand square foot home was built in the 1920’s and was recently renovated. According to US Weekly it features three bedrooms, a blue stone terrace and a huge outdoor fireplace. One source told the magazine that Taylor had also recently purchased a house for herself in L-A to cut down on hotel expenses as she travels around the country.

Oasis has talked a lot of smack about everyone over the years, including fellow Brit band Coldplay. LINKIN PARK CONFIRM SONG FOR TRANSFORMERS 3
Linkin Park are contributing music to the upcoming Transformers film. Mike Shinoda revealed on his blog that he spoke with director Michael Bay about continuing to use Linkin Park music in the franchise and chose the song “Iridescent.” Shinoda said a new, slightly shorter version of the song will appear in the film and explained that they are filming a video for the track this week. Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is out on July 1st.
