GAGA WANTS TO GO ON MODERN FAMILY?
Could we be seeing Lady Gaga make a guest appearance on Modern Family? Star Jesse Tyler Ferguson revealed on Live with Regis & Kelly that Gaga has actually “reached out” to the show about guest starring, but that it would be hard to work her into an episode.
GAGA TO PERFORM AT CANADIAN AWARD SHOW
Lady Gaga has been confirmed as a performer at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards, which will air live from Toronto, Canada on June 19th. Not much is known about the performance, but TheDeadBolt.com reported that the pop star will be singing songs from her new album, Born This Way.
GAGA’S CREATIVE DIRECTOR TALKS “JUDAS”
Fans of Lady Gaga should be very excited for the video for her next single, “Judas.” Well, if her creative-director, Laurieann Gibson is to be believed that is. Gibson told MTV News that the clip is “phenomenal,” “powerful” and “really impactful.” She also added that actor Norman Reedus will be playing Judas in the video, while Gaga will be portraying Mary Magdalene. No word on when we’ll see the clip, but the single drops on April 19th.
NICKI MINAJ CONFIRMS TALKS OF BRITNEY TOUR
Billboard.com has learned Nicki Minaj confirmed reports that she is in talks to join Britney Spears upcoming tour. During Casio’s TRYX OUT: NYC 2011 Launch Party in New York City, the fem-cee stated, “I’m in talks about a lot of things, ya know. I don’t know — oops, I did it again.” She later added on the red carpet that she could not confirm or deny her involvement with the Brit’s outing.
BRUNO MARS IS PRETTY GLAM
Bruno Mars is being featured in the current issue of Glamour magazine. He’s in a spread about the Most Glam Leading Men, and was named a runner-up, just behind Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Johnny Depp and Leo DiCaprio. Not bad group to be a part of.
KATY HAS ADVICE FOR NEW ARTISTS
It seems that whenever there’s a new artist, it’s only natural for them to be compared to someone else. And when Katy Perry burst onto the scene a couple of years ago, she was thought of as being the next Amy Winehouse or Lily Allen, even though you certainly wouldn’t put her in the same category as them now. Katy told us that it’s just the way it is for a new singer and that you just have to hope to get popular enough that people start comparing other artists to you. No one is comparing Katy to anyone but herself these days. She’s gearing up to head to Australia and New Zealand for a tour at the end of the month.
BE CAREFUL PRETENDING TO BE BIEBER
Three guys in Madrid decided it would be a fun idea to pretend that one of them was Justin Bieber, while the other two were his security, when the real Biebs was in town for the premiere of his movie Never Say Never. WEBBER WANTS MADONNA FOR ANOTHER MUSICAL?
Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber wants Madonna to be in a remake of the classic 1950 movie Sunset Boulevard. Webber told Piers Morgan that Madge would be perfect for the lead role of “Norma Desmond,” but that she hasn’t taken his calls. We’ll keep you posted if anything comes of it.
FERGIE’S NEW FRAGRANCE
Fergie has launched another fragrance line. According to People.com, it’s her second foray into perfume and called Outspoken Intense. The Black Eyed Peas’ lead singer then went on to describe it as “a provocative blend of sexy confidence and daring femininity that captures the thrill and excitement of being center stage.” Read more at People.com.
A SHAKIRA PRANK
Soccer team Real Madrid recently announced that they would no longer be playing Shakira music at their stadium because of her relationship with defender Gerard Pique, who plays for hated rival FC Barcelona. Well according to ColombiaReports.com, it turns out that it was nothing more than an April Fools’ joke, and to prove it, Madrid played her song “Loco” at a recent home game.
GWEN IS PROUD OF HER MARRIAGE TO GAVIN
Gwen Stefani has a lot to be proud of in her career, but it seems that her personal life is what she’s calling her “biggest achievement.” She’s on the cover of the latest issue of Elle magazine, and in the interview inside, she said that she and husband Gavin Rossdale have been together for 14 years and she’s “so proud of that” because “it hasn’t been the easiest journey.” Read more at Elle.com

At a recent red carpet, MTV News asked a few celebrities what they thought about the video for Britney Spears’ latest single, “Till The World Ends.” Here’s what a few folks had to say:
Christina Perri: “I think she took the bad reviews from her last one and was like, ‘Screw you! I’m going to dance like a crazy person.’ They’re so mean to her, man, they just need to stop. She’s a legend and, of course, she can dance. I love the new video.”
Aubrey O’Day: “I think that Britney, she’s in a new stage of her life and she’s giving you the new Britney, so you can’t really compare it with the old, ’cause her life experiences that she’s gone through have given her a new definition in her life.”
Perez Hilton: “If people stop expecting or hoping that Britney can dance like she used to, then I think this new incarnation of Britney can be very enjoyable, so I really like the new video. I still love Britney. I’m a fan.”
LIL WAYNE TO CANCEL CANADA SHOWS?
Billboard.com reports Lil Wayne might not be able to perform in Canada for his I Am Music II Tour. According to a spokesman for the Canada Border Services Agency, the rapper’s criminal record could prevent him from being granted a work permit. Weezy will have to wait until a final decision is approved by the officer at the border crossing. We’ll keep you posted with further details.
SWIFT ENJOYS “NORMAL LIFE”, DESPITE MEDIA ATTENTION
Last week, Us Weekly reported that Taylor Swift and Tron: Legacy star Garrett Hedlund had been on a dinner date in Nashville. It was also reported that Garrett was in town recording an album, but his rep told E! that he was in fact working on another project, not a record. Although Taylor’s love life is constantly in the media spotlight, the country star says she still maintains a comfortable sense of privacy (See Related Cut #6). Taylor may not have too much time for dating as she stays busy preparing for the U-S leg of her Speak Now World Tour, which kicks off May 27th in Omaha, Nebraska.
JIM JONES TALKS “PERFECT DAY” VIDEO
If you checked out Jim Jones’s video for his new single, “Perfect Day,” you’ll notice that the rapper included sign language in the clip and now, he’s explaining why. Jones told the New York Daily News that someone close to him asked him: “‘Why don’t people in the music industry ever have people doing sign language in their videos because they love music, too?’” Jimmy then decided to incorporate the sign language because deaf listeners “can feel the beat like anybody else.”

GUCCI GETS ARRESTED!
According to AllHipHop.com, Gucci Mane was arrested on Friday for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle. The rapper was checking in with his probation officer when authorities handcuffed and charged him with a misdemeanor count of battery. The run-in with the law could result in jail time since the arrest was a violation of his probation. We’ll keep you posted.
