THE PEAS AT THE KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS

The Black Eyed Peas will perform at the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards next month.   Fergie told UsMagazine.com that she is excited about appearing at the event, but she hopes they don’t get slimed.   Jack Black will host the show for the third time.   Kristen Stewart, Taylor Swift, Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber are all up for awards at the show.   The 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards will air live on Nickelodeon on April 2nd.

GRAMMY CAMP!

High school students, who are interested in the music industry, are encouraged to apply to GRAMMY Camp.   The camps are held in New York and Los Angeles and will teach students the ins and outs of the music industry.   The deadline to apply to GRAMMY Camp is March 31st.   Financial assistance is available to qualified applicants. JUSTIN BIEBER’S NEW VIDEO

Justin Bieber released the video for his “That Should Be Me” remix featuring Rascal Flatts. In the clip, the guys of Rascal Flatts pull up to the studio while Bieber sits in a room practicing the track. Bieber and the band rehearse the song before they are brought to another room to shoot the performance video.

NKOTBSB ALBUM!

The New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys have already announced their summer tour plans, but now the groups are releasing an album of fan-picked classics and more.   Now through March 24th, fans are encouraged to vote for their favorite New Kids and BSB songs at NKOTBSBVote.com.   The top five songs from each group, as well as a new song recorded by the two groups together called “Don’t Turn out the Lights,” will be featured on the album.   NKOTBSB will arrive in stores on May 24th.   The NKOTBSB Tour kicks off May 26th in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

JENNIFER LOPEZ RECRUITS LIL WAYNE

A few weeks ago, Jennifer Lopez was singing praises to Lil Wayne. The American Idol judge stated during an interview that she really enjoys listening to Weezy’s music and feels “he might be one of the best out there right now. He might be the best. He’s really good.” According to Rap-Up.com, J. Lo has finally gotten the chance to collaborate with Wayne, as they recently recorded a song called “I’m Into You.” The cut will be the next single off her upcoming seventh studio album, Love? BRUNO MARS GETS GRENADES THROWN AT HIM

Bruno Mars has the hit song “Grenade,” but that still doesn’t mean that he’s ready for fans to throw toy versions of the weapon at him.   According to British paper the Daily Record, the hit-maker “freaked out” after people in the audience threw some fake grenades at him on stage at a recent show.

BRUNO MARS TALKS WRITING “FORGET YOU”

Bruno Mars has some inside information about Cee-Lo Green’s hit song “Forget You.” Apparently, the two wrote the track in just “an hour or two.”   He told an English radio station that they were “just jamming” and they quickly made the whole song by “going back and forth” with each other.   He also joked that he “should have kept the damn song” for himself.

DAUGHTRY PRAISES THE SCRIPT, ADELE

Chris Daughtry has been giving some love to a few of his fellow musicians on Twitter.   Over the weekend, the former American Idol contestant wrote that Adele’s latest effort, 21, is the “best album” he’s bought in a “long time,” and he also wrote that his “new favorite song” is “For The First Time” by The Script.

TAYLOR SWIFT GETS “MEAN” TODAY

Taylor Swift’s new single, “Mean,” has officially hit the airwaves. The song follows “Mine” and “Back To December” as the third release from Swift’s multi-platinum album, Speak Now.   Taylor has endured her share of criticism over the years and knows too well that when it comes to fame, sometimes you get the good and sometimes you get the bad.   But if you’re patient, sometimes you might just get the last laugh (See Related Cut #5).   The superstar is currently on tour in Europe and kicks off the U-S leg of the Speak Now World Tour on May 27th in Omaha, Nebraska.  

WIZ KHLAIFA’S SHADES ALMOST SOLD OUT!

DIDDY REACTS TO FORBES LIST

Last week, we reported Diddy took the number one spot on Forbes’ Wealthiest Men in Hip Hop list. MTV News caught up with the mogul to get his reaction. Puff said, “To be honest, on that list, I was on the cover of Forbes back in ’98. I don’t really get caught up into the list. I think people think that I have that money actually sitting at home in the basement.” As far as asking the man, who is worth 475-million, for a loan, Sean explained of his net worth, “It’s really like if I sold all my companies… I do not have that money today!”

USHER SEX TAPE COULD SURFACE?

According to TMZ, Usher’s alleged sex tape with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, could potentially be sold. An unidentified person attempted to sell the tape to TMZ and released a still shot of what appeared to be the couple engaging in oral sex. Since news broke, Tameka released the following statement through TheYBF.com, “Would I sanction a sex tape being out? Absolutely not. I am a mother and entrepreneur. Sex tapes or pornography would not be my lane. I have no desire to be seen in that way.” The video might have been taken from Usher’s laptop, which was stolen back in December 2009.

MAN ARRESTED FOR BREAKING INTO MADONNA’S HOME

A man has been arrested for breaking into Madonna’s London home.   According to British paper The Sun, Grzegorz Matlok, an alleged stalker of Madge, was arrested after he was found inside her mansion “clutching some of Madonna’s possessions.”   He apparently climbed into the residence after “smashing a side window,” and was charged with burglary.   Madonna was in the U-S at the time of the incident because of the death of her 99-year-old grandmother.

ARETHA FRANKLIN TALKS WEIGHT-LOSS

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Aretha Franklin discussed her dramatic 80 pound weight loss. The legendary singer took the opportunity to dismiss any rumors about having a gastric bypass, especially since one of her family members endured the procedure and actually died from it. There you have it.

THE LILITH FAIR IS NO MORE

Sorry Lilith Fair fans, but it seems that the tour is no more.   According to DigitalSpy.com, founder Sarah McLachlan told a couple of different British papers that the iconic trek is finished, and that her idea to bring it back last year didn’t take in to account “how women have changed” since she started the tour in 1997.   She added that in the future she may do something “new and different” that carries forth “the ideas from Lilith.”

JAMES BLUNT TO PERFORM AT ROYAL WEDDING

It seems that James Blunt has gotten himself invited to the forthcoming Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.   Thing is, he has to work.   The singer-songwriter told an Italian news channel that he’ll be “playing the church organ” during the ceremony, and added that he’ll “not” be singing.   The Royal Wedding is set for April 29th.

CELINE DION PAYS TRIBUTE TO MJ AT VEGAS SHOW

In her new Las Vegas residency, Celine Dion pays tribute to Michael Jackson by performing his classic, “Man in the Mirror,” and she spoke to USA Today about it.   She told the paper that she “admired Michael a lot” and that he even came to see one of her shows in Sin City a few years back and inquired about maybe doing one of his own some day.   Celine’s latest residency kicks off tonight at Caesars Palace in Vegas.

KANYE’S “ALL OF THE LIGHTS” REMIX GETS LEAKED

If the 11 artists featured on the original version of Kanye West’s “All of The Lights” wasn’t enough, the rapper recruited a few more people on the unfinished remix. On the revamped version, fans will hear new vocals from Lil Wayne, Drake, and G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean. SWIFT AND OTHERS BOTTLE TAP WATER FOR CHARITY

Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and Robin Williams are just a few of the celebrities bottling their own tap water for charity. BLINK 182’s MARK HOPPUS RAISING MONEY FOR JAPAN

PETE WENTZ IS THANKFUL FOR CHARLIE SHEEN

Pete Wentz did an interview with Ryan Seacreast yesterday and said that he’s really thankful for Charlie Sheen. Why? Well, the media has been so distracted with the Two and a Half Men actor, they haven’t had time to stalk Pete and Ashlee Simpson as they go through their divorce. Wentz also said that while he and Simpson may be divorcing, they are still best friends. E! Online has more.
