Justin Bieber has over eight million followers on Twitter! He crossed the eight million mark yesterday afternoon and thanked his fans for the achievement. At press time, Bieber had over eight million six-thousand followers on the social networking site.
B.O.B IS IMPRESSED WITH BRUNO MARS
With Bruno Mars gearing up to tour with Janelle Monae, we caught up with B.o.B. to find out how he feels about the success of his “Nothing On You” collaborator. The rapper, who performed with the singer during the GRAMMY Awards, feels responsible for introducing the world to pop’s newest sensation (See Related Cut #1). Bruno and Monáe have announced plans for a co-headlining North American tour called Hooligans in Wondaland, which is expected to begin in May and hit major cities up until June. As yet, no dates have been announced.
BRITNEY AND MADONNA ARE FRIENDS
They’re two of the biggest stars in music, they shared a kiss together at an MTV Video Music Awards, and apparently, they’re friends. According to Us Weekly, Britney Spears attended Madonna’s Oscar party a couple of weeks back, and the Queen of Pop was apparently thrilled to see her, and even introduced Brit to her ex-husband, Sean Penn.
NO MORE DEAL FOR GAGA AND TARGET
Lady Gaga and Target had a deal in place to sell a special edition of her forthcoming album Born This Way that would include bonus tracks, but apparently, that’s no more. A source told The Advocate that the deal was scrapped because the pop star and Target “didn’t see eye to eye” on how some of the company’s political donations affected the LGBT community. SIMPSON/WENTZ DIVORCE UPDATE
According to TMZ.com, Pete Wentz filed papers earlier this week in response to Ashlee Simpson’s divorce petition. The bassist asked that a judge grant joint physical and legal custody of their son and requested that each spouse pay their own legal fees. The website is reporting that Simpson requested primary physical custody of their two-year-old son, Bronx, as well as for Wentz to pay for all legal fees.

It was predicted to happen and now it’s official — Adele’s album, 21, is at the top of the Billboard chart for the second week in a row. The singer-songwriter sold almost 170-thousand copies, giving her a total of over 500-thousand albums moved in just two weeks.

Taylor Swift has come through for her B-F-F Abigail Anderson, who appears in her video for the song, “Fifteen.” Abigail is now a student-athlete at Kansas University and recently enlisted Taylor’s help to raise money for the university’s swimming and diving program. Taylor autographed a Jayhawks jersey with her name on it, which was sold at an auction for 1,005 dollars with proceeds going toward Abigail’s swim team.

KID ROCK’S NAACP AWARD PROTESTED
Some members of the NAACP are boycotting the organization’s annual fundraiser in Detroit after it was announced that Kid Rock would be receiving the branch’s Great Expectations award. Many NAACP supporters have an issue with Kid Rock because he flies the Confederate flag during his concerts.
LADY A AND DARIUS RUCKER PERFORM WITH ANIMALS
Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker are two of the three headlining acts for the Toledo Zoo Summer Concert Series this year. Steely Dan will also headline one show. In this week’s Lady Antebellum Webisode Wednesday, the trio give fans a peek behind the scenes at a photo shoot on a roof in downtown Los Angeles.
