Christina Aguilera has indeed separated from her husband, Jordan Bratman. The singer issued a statement to People.com, confirming that the two have split up and that regardless of this, their commitment to their son Max “remains as strong as ever.” Aguilera gave birth to the couple’s only child in 2008.
DANCE MIX USA IS BACK!
Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, Mariah Carey, Train, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Selena Gomez, Kelly Rowland and Kelis have songs featured in the new compilation CD Dance Mix USA. The series is back after more than a decade, with a two CD package that includes 30 dance remixes from today’s hottest artists and DJs. It boasts never-before-heard exclusives, non-commercial tracks and underground club hits. Dance Mix USA started back in 1993 and ran through 1997. It’s sold over five-million units to date. The CD is in stores now.
TAYLOR SWIFT & BRUNO MARS TOP iTUNES CHART
Taylor Swift’s new single “Speak Now” is the most-downloaded song on iTunes this week. Far East Movement’s “Like a G6” featuring Cataracs & Dev holds tight at number two, while Bruno Mars’ debut single, “Just The Way You Are,” falls to number three. “Runaway” from Kan featuring Pusha T is at number four, while Nelly’s “Just a Dream” rounds out the top five. Bruno Mars’ debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, is the top downloaded album followed by Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being, Jason Mraz’s Life is Good, then Sign No More from Mumford & Sons and Eminem’s Recovery.
JUSTIN BIEBER RELEASES BOOK
Justin Bieber: First Step 2: Forever My Story is out in bookstores now. MTV News asked some stars to read selections from the book. Danny McBride and the cast of Jackass 3D take turns reading passages from the 16-year-old’s first book. Among the stories the pop star shares is the tale of his first date. He took a girl to dinner and wore a white shirt. SICK PUPPIES RELEASE VIDEO FOR “MAYBE”
Sick Puppies have released the video for their new single “Maybe.” The clip was directed by Travis Kopach, who has helmed videos for 3OH!3 and AFI. It tells the tale of a guy and a girl who simultaneously leave their small town lives behind to head to Los Angeles. Sick Puppies play at the Hard Rock Café in Houston on October 22nd.

The name of what Lady Gaga intends to call her first perfume line has been revealed. According to Billboard, it will aptly be titled Monster, which is, of course, what the pop star calls her fans. The line is set to hit stores in 2012.

Katy Perry has some high praise for her fiancé, Russell Brand — could her judgment be a little biased being that they’re all set to get married? According to British paper the Daily Record, the pop star called the comedian the “funniest man in the world.” The couple is said to be tying the knot later this month.

A good music line-up has been announced for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. USA Today reports that both Katy Perry and Akon will be taking the stage at the annual event, which is set to broadcast November 30th at 10 PM Eastern on CBS.
LAMBERT TALKS MALAYSIA CONCERT
According to Billboard, Adam Lambert’s concert that is set to take place tomorrow in Malaysia has been met with protest from the country’s Islamist opposition party as they feel that the former American Idol runner-up is promoting “gay culture” in their country. 50 CENT LANDS 200 MILLION FILM DEAL
